እናመሠግናለን ዶ/ር መሀመድ፤ በጣም ወሳኝ እና ጊዜውን የጠበቀ የግንዛቤ ትምህርት ነው። እኛም ከምናያቸው አብዛኞቹ የቫይታሚን ድ እጥረት ያላቸው ናቸው። we have seen patients with non specific back and musculoskeletal pain.....found to have low vit D level.

Thank you Dr. For the update. It is recommended that Benzathine Penicillin G is the standard of care for secondary prevention of RHD, but nowadays there is reluctance of health care workers in prescribing and giving this drug due to its feared side effect when given in unexperienced hands. What is your recommendation on this?

Thank you for the question. Most cases have no documented evidence of allergy. Most of the deaths following BPG injection are likely following a vasovagal response, leading to CV compromise and death. Proper preventive methods of vasovagal response to BPG injection, including oral hydration and giving simple analgesics prior to injection, combining the diluent with local anesthetic, and the like is of paramount importance.
