I've been watching a bunch of R. V living videos lately, and they' all that one thing in common. Look at me, look at what I have. Look how great my choices are. It's all about me if there's ever a SHTF. Situation, you will be worthless to humanity.

Thanks, that's useful! How did you reach Las Vegas Strip from the RV camping resort?
@TravelAbout12 күн бұрын
We used Lyft. Way to crowded in Vegas for large truck. We used our truck to hit Sam's Town and others but for the strip it was quick 10 min Lyft ride.

@TravelAbout13 күн бұрын
Very well. We are on the 3rd fridge but other then that no real issues. Just put in a new inverter (upgraded. Nothing wrong with old one). Arizona sun is hard on it though. Faded graphics, yellowed roof, etc...

Yes we do. Slowly over the years we have had some things modified more to our liking but overall it fits our needs well. Esp the large almost 14 foot garage where we run our 3D printing business. with plenty of room. Soon we will be back on the road with it!

Well, you blew by the best kept secret in New Mexico at 5:23 into your video. On the right is the Henderson Store. If you blink you miss it! The store has been there for over 100 years. Originally a mercantile store selling to the farmers, ranchers and miners. In the second 50 years it has been selling Native American goods which include gold and silver jewelry, pottery, rugs, kachinas, and carvings. You have to know there. They do not advertise, and word of mouth is the only marketing they do. We were turned on to the store in while on vacation in 1974 and have been going there ever since. We now live in Santa Fe; NM and it is an easy one-hour trip to shop there. What sets the Henderson Store apart from other sellers of Native American art and jewelry is the pricing. They buy direct from the artisans who make the products. The difference is that they offer what they sell at prices you cannot find anywhere else in the state. Want proof! I purchased a silver bracelet for my husband at Henderson's. It was made by a man who was the President of the Navajo Nation. I paid about $300.00 for it. I found an almost identical bracelet on the plaza in Santa Fe for just under $900.00. That is why we and other New Mexicans or "informed" visitors head to the Henderson store.

Around 10yrs ago i had done a cruise like you guys. I did the same tour going out to the Glacier too. But the glacier came where you guys were standing for the photo where you pulled up in the canoes. It was. Just back a bit over that small water gap behind you. It was like a large areo bar but blueish. We could actually touch the glacier there and see and hear it its cracks up close. I loved seeing all the Alaskan towns and scenery. A lot different there than from where i am in Sydney Australia Bringing back lots of fond memories.

Did you ever think about a repositioning cruise? 20 years ago when we did the Alaska cruise our ship was going to Hawaii next, and there were people waiting to get on... there's nothing in between Canada and Hawaii. 5 days at sea? I guess you just gain weight for 5 days.🤣
@TravelAbout2 ай бұрын
For now I'm getting my cruises for free. But if that deal ever stops I would consider a repositioning cruise. Although if all I want to do is get somewhere I think I'd rather fly.

How is the Norwegian Sun? I just got off the NCL Viva last week. It was a beautiful, new ship that was amazing. I'm told that the older ships are smaller, hold more people, have smaller cabins. The Viva was huge (over 900ft, 18 levels), large cabins (with sofa), Hotel like baths. There was a go-Kart track over 3 levels on the top! I did the Alaska cruise 20+ years ago and we sat on the balcony every morning, in our robes. Saw eagles in trees, brown bears on shore, killer whales, dolphins, salmon. I would bring binoculars or the eagle will be the size of a hummingbird. It was cold.🥶 I've only been on these two cruises in my entire life. Watch out for the "CruiseNext" sales guy. 😁
@TravelAbout2 ай бұрын
The Sun is considered small but for our first cruise we thought it was big. Only 12 levels. We picked it on purpose mostly to not have too many kids running around. So no real kid stuff on board. I will show more of the ship in a few videos. I also show the room later. We did have a small couch but basically that's where all the luggage landed lol. Very enjoyable and we were treated like royalty. No spoilers but there is something big happening in a few months. Stay tuned!
