How can I snag that cut file? I saw in an earlier comment that you could maybe email it? I'm willing to pay for the pattern as well.

Hi @tandogstudio2488 really like this. Would you be able to share the file for the origami cut / perforations? I'd really appreciate it (I see your response to others says about sending a DM, but I don't know how to do that here on YT). My son is getting married this summer and love the idea of making one of these for both him and his future bride's rings . Thanks

I’m so awful about responding to these comments. Turns out having a kid has an effect on engagement with the socials. Who knew? Anyway, here is a Google drive link to the silhouette studio file I used. Sorry, but I don’t have the ability to convert this to anything useful outside of that application. drive.google.com/file/d/11Yhim5pqsShNNtlxHtKg4LsznA2cd5bs/view?usp=drivesdk

I know this video is so last year (lol) however, do you happen to have a file for the cardstock design (9:50-11:00)? Thanks and I am wondering if I can somehow integrate a light/torch 🤔 like other light ring boxes out there.

I really liked your presentation, to the point with a little humor throne in. Like some of the others, I would like the pattern for the part you cut out on your scan and cut machine. I have a Brother Scan & Cut so I would need it in a SVG format. If that's possible as well as okay with you. Thanks, keep up with the good work. Dave

Great work,keep it up,...how deep did you go on the recess??
@tandogstudio24882 жыл бұрын
1/4” deep. Between that and the thickness of the liner material, I had just about 5/8” of clearance for a ring.

Nicely done! What are the chances you could print me out one of those presenter inserts and mail it to me? I love the look of that as a ring presenter!
@tandogstudio24882 жыл бұрын
Possible, but you’d have to do the woodwork to specified dimensions, otherwise the paper insert wouldn’t work.

Nice job, and I liked the process narration jajaja. Do you sell these? Could you also make them out of oak wood?
@tandogstudio24882 жыл бұрын
Wow I’m an awful content creator. I don’t sell them but reckon I could if it came to it. Oak is a very workable material for a project like this.

@@tandogstudio2488 I wanna make one of these. Do you think it's possible to switchout the construction paper for something more long lasting? Maybe a thick fabrick or a thin strip of leather? What do you think?
@tandogstudio2488 Жыл бұрын
@@RossCrain I think an appropriate material might be a thin, flexible plastic like the polyethylene or polypropylene they use to make those flexible plastic binders in offices or classrooms. At any rate, you want something with some rigidity to it -- I don't think fabric or leather have the physical qualities you need for it to work as an origami-type mechanism. For consideration if you do use a polymer material is something called "work hardening" or "strain hardening." Over time the flexible joint will become more brittle with repeated use. Also refer to thistothat.com to find the appropriate adhesive for your materials. Good luck and keep me posted on your results!
