R.I.P. Edward, I wish I'd contacted you sooner. He looks so much like my grandmother, his aunt.

I'm not sure I hear a lot of coherence or interest here. I'm quite shocked.

This interview to Edward Bond doesn't help Edward Bond, far less Bondian Drama. It adds confusion instead of clarification. Bond's Drama is a towering cultural, philosophical, creative work upon which XXTH c. Drama and theatre has move onwards. Even unknowingly. If one has studied Bond enough, one can see Bondian influence even in stupid adverts. ----- Bond: you cannot say "I think imagination is a dirty word. I don't like it," (4:20) without adding volumes of the last 60 years of Bondian philosophy. If cannot add the later, better no to say the former. Bond has passed most of his life writing about the paramount importance of imagination and reason. Of how one cannot work without the other. For the same reason that Bondian Drama cannot be staged without understanding first that Bondian Drama needs Marx and Nietzsche simultaneously; no one without the other. Which takes you to ETHICS with big capitals. Which is what fundamentally Bondian Drama is: staging the Ethical. Imagination is like a muscle. If you don't use a muscle, it will atrophy. I would argue, emphatically, the lack of imagination is at the basis of all man made, capitalism made catastrophes. Fascisms are making a return big time around the globe --- and this is because absence of imagination in the lifes of most people. But Bondian Drama requires even more from you: not only imagining to be in the other's shoes; it requires that one imagines the other imaginig. That is why it is the Ethical. Bondian Drama and Bond deserve far more than this useless, no good for anyone 15 minutes video.

I am just afraid of the world that is ignorant of Bond and watches shitshows like Euphoria. At least the 15 min video can bring some knowledge. I am hopeless though.
