I remember not only watching this mini series on tv when it originally aired, i remember this in the news and the outcry of these boys being executed. Terrible Terrible situation. Our government should have done more to bring them home and let them serve out their sentence in Australia

When Trump met w/Xixi Ping of China, he asked why there was no drug problem there. The Chinese leader replied that it was bc they killed all drug dealers. He wants that here in the US. I don't do drugs but that seems very extreme to me esply as some dealers don't even use drugs. I'm voting for RFK Jr for POTUS. Thx so much for this upload.

Moi je viens de ma copine qui me sortait qu'elle était issue de l'esclavage je lui ai dit tout dépend à l'époque où tes ar ar ...grands-parents sont arrivés à l'île... Ils ont pu effectivement être forcé à venir mais ils ont pu aussi bien venir de leur propre gré pour travailler... Tout dépend l'année 😁

I oppose death penalty but the message is clear: Death for drugs under Malaysian 🇲🇾 Singapore 🇸🇬 and Indonesian 🇮🇩 law; know what you carry. Courts in those countries do not accept the luggage belonged to another person - YOU carried it! Travel smart and safe!

Dont forget too that in asian countries the customs officers have got the right to stop you and search your bags if they wish too its prevention agsinst terrorism which is clearly stated on the back of your air ticket so it will stand up in court just obey the laws of those countries dont smuggle drugs and never carry anything for anyone especially if you dont know whats in a package they will have no mercy on you ignorance is no defence

If you try to smuggle drugs into malaysia or singapore its the same as jumping into a lions enclosure you may as well do that

The death penalty for drug trafficking is too harsh it is still a non violent crime no one can say for sure what will happen to those drugs if they are given over 24 strokes of the rotan and life in prison in malaysia would be a far harsher punishment as that means at least 30 years locked up for the smuggler in this case that would have been the right sentence and if one of them could have been spared it should have been barlow who made a mistake little more than a ignorant mule but at the same time you have to obey the laws of that country dont smuggle drugs in a asian country under any circumstances its not worth it also another question the people who say they should have been hanged would they feel the same if it was their son or daughter who was going to hang you cant imagine what those mothers went through unless you are in their shoes

Chambers was to blame for them being caught taking a nervous shaking man to the airport carrying a suitcase packed with heroin was just plain stupidity he should have taken responsibility and saved barlow who seemed out of it for most of the time when they got to malaysia when 2 people do this type of thing together their is always a higher risk of detection as there is always a chance at least one will crack and like in this movie if they both try to blame the other one it seals their fate people must realize that even though malaysia is a third world country their customs officers are well teained to catch drug traffickers one sign of nerves and they will catch you dont smuggle drugs in that country its not worth it incidentally since the mandatory death sentence for drug trafficking has been removed out of 38 cases in malaysia only 4 times have people not been sentenced to death for drug trafficking

Clearly Malaysia went to far with their punishment. No one should swing at the end of a rope just because they were caught with poison ( DRUGS ). This is not a good enough reason.

This is a good movie! I moved to Australia in 2001 and I had in my mind it would be like in this movie, but it was much more modern... Perth in particular is very different today. SJP is super cute with her big 80s hair.
