Great if you are going to immediately sell the van to a new lucky owner, but most of the bad paint was left on and just painted over. Anyone who owns one of these vans knows ALL of the paint will eventually peel off, as none of it adheres properly to the primer. It literally just falls off in sheets! The only real solution is to remove ALL of the old paint, and repaint the entire van, with NO old paint left on it to peel away. Covering the old paint with new paint does not solve the problem, since the old defective paint is still there, and will continue to peel.

Just bought one from my local municipality under sealed bid. 2014 pursuit package, v6, center console in tact, 148k miles for just $700. All it needs is a radiator due to a slow leak. Im gonna fix it and drive it back and forth to work. It's a great car. Still has the push bar and Havis console in it.

I am curious if you were able to replace these cam phasers with the engine in the car with only the valve covers off? Or did you have to drop the engine out of the car to get the front cover off to do the job?

GM should either pay for repaint or write owners a check. Was there ever a Class Action Lawsuit against GM?
@donho96704 ай бұрын
They probably figured that by the time the paint really starts peeling badly, the vehicle (frame) would have rusted out (GM) and in the crusher it goes. BTW, I still have a '99 Savana Cargo that I drive very little (50k miles), it was peeling many years ago. I figure the only thing that might work is to take it down to bare metal..acid wash and start from scratch.

Is 180k miles on a 2007 ford fusion good?
@rowdyross44 Жыл бұрын
Considering it is a 16 year old car now and most people drive 12,000 miles that car should have 192,000 miles. So I would say 180,000 is better then 192,000 miles. I would also asked for maintenance records.
