I do love the way the bin men just mercilessly throw the plastic bags in to their death. ..do you wish you were one of them?

@@shnd7733 I don't mind. 1) Being shrunk with a ray gun, and falling inside a bin, just to be bagged up and taken out with the trash, by accident. 2) Or being transformed into a living black polythene bag, and used by my owner, to be her bin liner, then she fills me up, ties me up, and takes me out with trash. 3) Or to be just alive inside the bin, as it is emptied. I love being inside a plastic bin. An 140 litre bin is tight, and I can only get my top half in. A 240 litre bin is better, if I bend my knees and sink inside 'knees first' I can close the lid. A 360 litre bin, is far bigger, I can even sit down on the inside ridge above the wheels, and close the lid, but it hurts my squashed toes after 5 hours of sitting there. Best of all is an 1100 litre bin, as i can lay inside, covered in trash bags hiding for hours: I reckon if I take a 1100 litre black bin liner to climb inside, and lay still, I might even go unnoticed, with a bit of luck. Climbing in and out, are the main problems, and CCTV cameras. I always try to research trash collection times, and keep an airway free, otherwise you can get a headache from the lack of oxygen, or even pass out and go to sleep, never to wake up. That would be no good, as I would miss all my fun !

No you wouldn't. The waste is dragged around a screw and forced through a hole. You would be mashed to death.

@RapidAssistant. Many thanks for your detailed reply. I thought once the waste goes through the hole in the auger wall, on the inside of the drum, by the movement of the paddles, the waste is pushed between the screw anger and the drum, but after one rotation, it falls inside the main body of the truck. No second hole, so to speak. When you empty the lorry, you lift up the tailgate containing the screw auger and rotate the drum backwards to let the trash come out. Once the drum is empty, I could climb inside the drum before you close the screw auger. Then when you start the drum in collection mode, spinning forwards, I could go for a tumble. Then as the trash fills the main body section of the lorry, compaction only starts once it is about 80% full. True ?

I had never really experienced high speed elevators until I went on holiday to New York - you can hear the wind noise of the car in the shaft.
