Thanks for the review. Would love to know How it behaves on a flooded road and high temp such as 40 degrees. I’m from Africa we experience that.

Thanks for the review. I just recently got myself a second hand Japanese 2017 e-power Note, and it’s been an awesome discovery! I really love the 100% electric drive smoothness and power, along with the effectively unlimited range and no need to ever worry about plugging the thing in. It’s also giving me about 1/4 - 1/5th the fuel consumption of my previous petrol 2L Camry, and it feels just as powerful, perhaps even more power. With 2023 fuel prices, I can once again enjoy going where ever I want, without being worried about the fuel cost! It’s also one of the most spacious cars in its size class, which is important for me as I’m 193cm tall. When I see it in the car park the car looks relatively small, but when I get in, it’s bigger inside than my Camry was. Like Dr Who’s Tardis! This car is a godsend, and in my view the ultimate current EV solution. 😎

I've just purchased a 2017 Note but find the dash a little confusing. the owners manual is in Japanese so I cant read it. Can anyone explain the charging system and how to understand and read the gauge on the dash?

I purchased one of these vehicles at the beginning of August, from GVI Tauranga. To date my petrol costs have halved, from $60 to $35 a week. I previously had a Mazda Premacy. I am more than satisfied with its performance, I am a well build person. The seats are comfy. Recently a trip from Tauranga to Hamilton and back, 321kms, cost me 17.46 litres of fuel. I normally travel more than 50 kms a day, going to and from work twice a day, so a pure EV, such as a Leaf, would be useless. I found it was good going up the steepish Kaimai Ranges between Tauranga and Hamilton and a trip to Palmerston North and back I averaged 21.4 kms/litre, around town up to 24.5kms/liter. Well worth to cost already paying for itself

Do u recommend this car? I wanted to get one but can't really find a decent review.
@andymiller82272 жыл бұрын
@@1984juanification I have owned this car since 1st August 2021 and have had no trouble with its performance. It is comfortable for me, and I am quite generous person in my proportions. I spend a lot of my day driving buses so I can recommend this vehicle. My average distance travelled is around 700 - 750kms every three weeks at around 23 - 24 liters per 100kms. The hybrid is ideal for me because I never have to top the batteries, the 1200cc engine does it all automatically.

Hey Andy, I'm comparing this with the Nissan Leaf right now. I also drive more than 50km a day going to and from work. Why is a full EV useless for this kind of daily distance?
@andymiller82272 жыл бұрын
@@kristenkissoon8143 It leaves you no extra if you have to go else where. I bought the Note because I do a lot of travel outside where I live. The range gets me around 800kms without filling up. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Note. Mine was second hand and cost me $19,800.

Hello from Nebraska, USA. You are much braver than I. I'm also very interested in the physics and containment of these huge systems. I was wondering about how you two are feeling now? "It is an electric vehicle, but it has no plug" Electric traction is here to stay; making an electric drivetrain is already cheaper and simpler than making a combustion drivetrain. The only problem are the batteries. But if batteries don't reach 1kWh/kg/liter/$100 in the next 5 years, someone will come up with some fuel cell/flow cell technology, and we'll see no plugs again for the next 50 years, and this car is the beginning of it all
