Nice. When it hits those low resonant tones it gives off a complex cello energy.

Amazing music brother. .. This is inspiring me to recreate and understand the patch, specially the generative thing, no interaction wht so ever during the performance.
@youtube_sucks_2k6 ай бұрын
I'm happy that it inspires you somehow. You see how damn simple this patch is. Simple machine - complex music. Now imagine Brian Eno doing something similar just using Tape recorders running at different speeds... The only hard to find module here (in the real world I mean) is the Mutable Instruments Branches. Which you can purchase used or... buy A CLONE! At last, you can make it yourself, the schematics are given for free.

@youtube_sucks_2k8 ай бұрын

@@darkelwin02 I love simplicity in modules. In Rack as in a real synth. I try to replicate what I have on my desk in Rack, in order to experiment virtually, then make it real. Maximum result with a minimal effort.

neat! Interesting how you end up with a more 'string'-like sound (implies sawtooth waves!) yet, square wave is what you are using!
@youtube_sucks_2k Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Experience teaches me that you can get more from a very simple setup than matches the eye.
@youtube_sucks_2k Жыл бұрын
The square wave is filtered in the VCF and (mixing more the High than the Low pass) then processed through the ADSR envelope . And then it passes through the delay and the reverb. Which also heavily process the audio signal....

Ohhh yeah this one is smooth. I especially love the beginning where it (by accident!) descends in some melodic way. Ring modulation does your setup much good, clearly.

Are the left hand outputs from the Bernoulli gates the same? Cheers.
@youtube_sucks_2k Жыл бұрын
Well, no. If you look closely, you will notice that the probability knobs are set differently. The upper one has a 50% chance to fire the A or B output. The lower one is more keen to fire output A (which is the only one used here). But it won't ALWAYS fire it. Let's say it will fire with a (ROUGH) probability of 66% and won't fire with a probability of 34% The two Bernoulli gates, in this case, share the same clock input - due to the NORMALIZATION of the lower one to the first one. Now, unfortunately, Mutable Instruments stopped producing any module at all. BUT, lucky us, there are CLONES available on the market, due to the kindness of Emilie Gillet (formerly Olivier Gillet) to release all their modules as open hardware and software.

Dankesehr.
@youtube_sucks_2k2 жыл бұрын

your choice to restrict module usage on all your patches over the years was very forward-thinking. everyone can play with all of your modules easily, years later. Not to mention a lot of developers didn’t update their stuff to vcv 2.0, but all your old patches are still downloadable & work in 2.0. Thanks

This is my KISS approach: Keep It Simple, Stupid! My goal is ti sketch out my patches so that I can easily replicate them on my modular (which consists mostly of basic #Doepfer modules). I'm glad you find this approach interesting.
