Thank you for the video. Scoraig has a tragic history. Crofters from the Dundonnell area came here in the late 1880s after their crops were burnt by the lairds and factors. They settled on the poor ground of Scoraig, which they abandoned in the 1960s, as the government refused to build a road and put in power lines. I know people whose ancestors suffered the brutality of the land lords in this area. Its a reflection on much of Scotland as a whole and the marginalisation of its people causing a massive dispora.

I was impressed with Scoraig. Unspoilt and quieter. The couple of people I talked with were very hospitable. I’d not really known about its history. Shame on the lairds and factors! Thank you for the video. Brought back huge memories for me, I worked in Glen Achall as a shepherd for a while after I left school. Now live in Aberdeenshire. I would walk around 20 miles per day during the lambing time, and would herd sheep from Glen Daimh back the way, and even some had got as far as Seana Bhraigh, the Munro that you take the Corriemulzie route from between Glen Achall and Glen Daimh. Myself and a local Crofter, Duncan MacLeod built much of the fencing
