Great workmanship but it ends there. If the client wanted that and paid for it which I'm assuming is the case but my word that is (just my opinion) a waste of good wood, time and effort because that is such a hideous table. 😂

I appreciate the feedback, everyone has their own taste! Epoxy tables can certainly be polarizing!

What species of Walnut did you use?

Beautiful finish... I've used Watco Danish Oil before on Rosewood then applied Finishing wax, what did you use to top coat the Danish Oil and how long did you let the Danish Oil to cure?
@taitlinstudioКүн бұрын
I used a spray on pre-catalyzed finish from Cloverdale after letting the danish oil cure a day.

Such a beautiful table!!! But how is it a gaming table?
@taitlinstudio3 күн бұрын
A D&D map overlay is cast to the screen and the players move their figurines over it. Check the description for a further explanation.

In the process of building something similar myself at the moment. This is the exact motivation I needed to push through to the finish line. Love the addition of the outlets around the table so I may be stealing that...

How is this a "gaming table", I don't get it. Nice build though!
@taitlinstudio6 күн бұрын
The basic premise is that the Dungeon master will screen share the map overlay onto the TV. Then the players can move their figures across the map.

Nice job. But what happens when the tv goes bad or just outdated. Dimensions of electronics always change as time moves on.
@taitlinstudio10 күн бұрын
That's a great question. Fortunately most flatscreen 40” TV’s have similar dimensions so small modifications can be made.

On your corner braces to your legs, how did you figure out where to drill holes for the bolts that go into the threaded inserts? Beautiful table! Thanks.
@taitlinstudio11 күн бұрын
The apron and corner brace are 3” wide. I just measured up 3/4” from the top and bottom edge. Also centred the holes along the length of the leg corner and the angle brace.

A serendipitous and timely discovery of this video: I'm making a near identical table (albeit to a much lower standard), you've taught me how to fix a dent from a dropped piece, and shown me how I should've fixed the stretchers to the 45° legs (half laps have been a nightmare). Thank you
