Better than a Tesla. Hope Lucid finds success. The Lucid Sapphire is such a steal at its price. In order to get the same performance you need a car five times plus the cost for a dedicated sports car. All that performance in a luxury sedan too.

Ok, here's the deal and what you didn't notice: them getting in and out of the car. I'm 6'7 and just drove the car not long ago at an event, and I can say that I love the car, but getting in and out of the driver's seat will do your back in over time. It's best to wait for the SUV for us tall folks. I'm not knocking electric, I'm intersting in one myself which is why I test drove this car but they don't design it for easy for us to get in and out without folding up to do it.

On top of Rivian's mounting debt and interest expense payments, Rivian's GAAP losses per quarter show no sign of ending. The VW deal is just not going to help much and will add more debt and interest expense. With a market cap of around $15 bill and these recurring quarterly losses, don't see how Rivian avoids bankruptcy... and yes... these are Rivian's quarterly... not "annual," losses: 1Q23 - $1.3 bill 2Q23 - $1.2 bill 3Q23 - $1.4 bill 4Q23 - $1.5 bill & full year '23 loss: $5.4 bill 1Q24 - $1.4 bill 2Q24 - $1.5 bill

That’s just how starting a car company is, it takes a ton of upfront cost to develop manufacturing for any vehicle. Tesla was in the negative for 17 years before they turned a profit. As long as they can keep investments coming in such as the ones with Amazon, ford, and VW I can see this staying alive and turning a profit within 10 years.

Once sodium ion packs start hitting the road it will be curious the direction they go. I think split packs (as many of the b-roll show) with sodium ion and lithium mixed will be beneficial . So you kind of get the benefits of both. But all sodium would be excellent. The sodium and other compounds ents are much more environmentally friendly. Plus sodium is available more places so no having to deal with countries you would rather not deal with to make them.
