I ski a DPS 106 in a 185….fat enough for an experienced powder skier…nimble enough to turn in tight spaces…I’ve owned 115s….to clunky in tight spots…and transitioning out of the deep stuff.
@elecreations26 күн бұрын
Nice! I miss having thinner skis. Ive though of buying DPS but they are on the expensive side. Next skis I get will be somewhere around 110mm.

I did a comparison of the 2 skies on Soothe ski and found some interesting info. Soothe ski does actual physical measurement of skis as oppose to manufacture PR. Turn radius of the Bent 184= 20.3, the BC Noctas 185= 19.2 Interestingly although the Bent is labeled a 184, it measures 180.2 and the BC 184.1. When it come to rocker, both skies are nearly the same: Bent 38% total 17tip/11tail...BC 40%total 17tip/13tail. For more interesting numbers search Soothe Ski.

I agree. Bent Chetler 120 are the best powder skis I’ve ever used. I once tried my friend’s ZAG UBAC 102, which was nice because they were so light. But BC has more float and still manages to be playful.
@rickden8362Ай бұрын
This is one point for the way over hyped element of ski weight. When you look at binding and boot weight, and the fact that the majority of ski weight is located at the center of the ski where the skier has the most leverage, ski weight is not a major factor.
@juhavierinenАй бұрын
@@rickden8362I never use ski lifts. I’m happy to skin up with heavy gear to guarantee a good skiing experience, but I tend to get more laps with light skis. But yeah, most of the weight is in the skier’s body weight.

@@elecreations 4:22 "the clothing I use" the way you said it sounded clinical almost robotic to me. I guess I am so accustomed to hearing about clothing to wear, I never though about clothing being used, which it is. On a fashion forum the question is WAYWT (what are you wearing today?) I guess I am a clothes user too.

yo bro, i got all those tricks (cork 7, dub backy, misty, rodeo, 720 with grab) on the tramp skis, js wanna ask how do the skis feel? Like i can do all that comfortably and i can also ski very well, but im looking to progress a bunch in park, so how do the skis feel when spinning and flipping?
@elecreations4 ай бұрын
I've never tried tramp skis unfortunately but I can say that cork 720 on skis feels pretty similar to doing it on trampoline. The skis don't feel heavy or anything because you have so much momentum. The hardest part is not doing them too flippy or too spinny if you know what I mean. I've never don a dub back, misty or 720 grab on skis yet but they should translate over to snow pretty well. Good luck next season! I'm sure you'll be able to get all those tricks this winter! If you have good air awareness and can ski well its just about progressing up to those tricks.
