Hey! I'm a current student in APA geometry and I wanted to tell you how your videos are a great help! I watched your Geometry 1st Semester Unit Review Final and it helped me a lot, in fact, I got the highest score in my class! I wanted to ask you if you could possibly make a video on using geometric mean, especially with the ones in triangles and where it asks us for missing variables. I'm a bit struggling on this topic, and we might have a quiz this Friday. I'm also struggling a bit on simplifying radical expressions, especially the ones that are fractions and with variables. I'm sorry if this is too much to ask, but I would appreciate the help. Thank you again for the great work you do!

The third example puzzles me In the hypothesis you didn’t state that the cord was perp. to the diam So you can’t conclude that the 2 parts of the cord are equal.

I liked your video. I do something something similar to this (called AC Pathfinder) for any value of a and c. You find the 2 numbers that multiply to give ac and add to give b. You put them on the inner and outer paths. Then you place the factors of either a or c. If a =12, 12 and 1 might not work, so you try 6 and 2, etc There are better AC methods but I thought it was fun.

Why do you need to do the inverse? Would that be true for equations using sin or cos?
@MathProfessorKyleMartin9 күн бұрын
Yhe Inverse helps you find the missing angles. Missing sides don't use the inverse.

I am in no way criticizing your method, but have you ever taught splitting the middle term 5x^2+10x-2x-4, then factor each side? The reason I ask is that when the first coefficient is greater than, I could see how a student could get confused using the X method. Obviously in order to find two numbers for the middle term they still have to multiply the outside terms and figure the “add to, multiply to” problem, but this way, once they have the two numbers, they just have to factor, so there is less confusion. I’ve seen some videos where they split the middle term when the first coefficient is one, but that just seems overkill.

But you only need to know that it is 180 inside and that interior + exterior add to 180, the rest can be figured out from there.
