Thanks so much Nigel. I suspected mine was fake as the weight didn't feel right and then when it wouldn't cycle through the options, I contacted the seller for a refund. He gave me the refund before I even posted the pin pointer back to him so guess I wasn't the first to do so.

Hi, Im trying to update(when i try to pair i get message to update) my wsa II XL I follow instructions and put last step the usb in the computer. But i get an error " the last USB device malfunctiond and windows doesn't recognize it" and tgere the update ends. Dit try diff computers and diff cabel's annyone a idea how to fix this? I have found if I eliminate a pull tab or bottle top it will still allow other pull tabs through if they are in the ground at a different angle than the one I illuminated.

This is so confusing. My new Garrett carrot weighs more than either named Weight. The numbers don't scratch off. The light is bright. It's so technical I can't get it back to where it beeps. It's very sensitive even if it might be fake. No battery has a lanyard. Sold by Walmart.
