Obviously you don’t know anything about running hounds. They don’t pursue by sight the pursue by smell.

Usually the last weekend in September. They moved it up one week this year because of an event conflict.

We get big numbers in PA for ukc. Hosted the world hunt the last two years with close to 300 entries each year.

She can roll and hang on to it too! If she looses a rabbit it climbed a tree, swam the lake or went in a hole.

We don’t run slow dogs. Most UBGF and MAB dogs have some foot. You still have to look at the bloodlines. Some dogs are easier but it’s hard for an easy dog to win or place in the UBGF unless you’re out east.

@@TopFuelKennels I’m sure a lot of different bloodlines. 18 of the 20 dogs that placed had some of the Rapid Run Beagles bloodlines in them. Some had More Water Otis Odie.

They need to slow those dogs down some how can the judge even see who’s getting the checks

We run SPO. Small pack option. No packs larger than 9 hounds. AKC rule book is what we evaluate hounds according to.

She solo’s a rabbit with bad intentions. Runs a rabbit like she’s mad at it.

Yeah, she doesn’t play around. Some judges don’t like that though. They’re conservative and want a slow easy hound.

Great job on the video. Glad to see guys taking the time to follow up explaining the trials and showing the good side of the sport. Hopefully 25 years from noe guys can look back on theses videos and appreciate the work that goes into these trials. Great job.

Where are you located? I can find trials in your area.

A lot of judges judge from horseback. If you make it to the Nationals, most judges will be on horseback. It’s good to have horses at trials to get the dogs use to them. I was on horseback at this trial because I had a torn tendon in my ankle. I tore my tendon judging on foot running behind some hounds that were stroking. The only way I was able to finish that trial as a judge is because someone had a horse there.
