I think that Combine multiverse empire Vs Warhammer 40k
@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke6 күн бұрын
Combine would lose. Especially since you said Warhammer 40k and not one faction. I don't think the Combine, more appropriately the Universal Union, would stand a chance against the weapons and numbers of any 40k faction sadly.
@CivilProtection0221 сағат бұрын
@@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke Eh, Not really the combine would win the combine destroys universes. they discovered teleportation, so they can move as fast as they want, they have an uncountable number of universes and an uncountably high number of people, plus the combine also has synth units, for example strider, gunship drop ship combine guard supery synth crab synth. and these are just a few of the millions of synth combines, so the combine would easily beat Warhammer 40k.
@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke22 минут бұрын
I never really considered the scale of the Universal Union. Because in the games, we see so little. But you're right. The inter-universal teleportation they discovered was recent, meaning it is more effect as time goes on but slow and archaic in the beginning. They do have pulse weapons as well as void/black hole energy ball things (AR-2 alt) and power generation. Combine metal is nigh impenetrable but that's conventional 2000's era munitions and not 40k munitions. Explosions damage their vics so Bolters would be effective. So I guess their advantage is numbers, synth technology that could potentially replicate things like Tyranids?, and maybe teleportation if they get the time needed to perfect it. We know too little about how the Universal Union actually functions. They invade universes but we only see the aftermath of Earth's invasion, giving us the impression that they use the local population to garrison a conquered planet. But do they have their own interstellar army and navy? If not, then their chances at "winning" become a lot lower. If they do, then an easy win. Personally? I want to see more of their assets and things like how they traverse the void between stars. Which is why I'm working on a TTRPG campaign based on the Half-Life universe which I'm calling an expansion and slight reimagining.

This is not how space marines sound like, nor would they be this chatty. The original was and remains a Masterpiece as it is
@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke4 ай бұрын
100%. The original is so good that I find it of far better quality than some TV shows such as the Halo series. I wish we lived in a universe where GW wasn't such a shitshow of a company and instead simply hired the man, gave him a budget and a team, and let him go to town. Sadly... that isn't the case. Anyway, OG animation, or as I prefer to term it, fan film, was amazing in every respect. This video I have uploaded was, and always will remain, just a little goofy passion project of mine and a sort of love letter to show the original creator that I loved his creation. They say parodies are the highest form of compliment/flattery. And I hoped it would come across that way given how much I loved the fan film. It inspired me in my personal writings and reinvigorated my love for the lore. I'm rambling. Sorry.
@zacharysheetz37014 ай бұрын
well done It really does add to the carnage. Especially bits like, "Run for your li........" and you feel that earlier stab now, with a simple "UGH." More please.
@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke4 ай бұрын
Thanks. The trouble really was matching my simplistic placement of Half-Life 2 audio to this guy's smooth and fast-paced animations. He favored action shots with very little downtime. That had me spending a lot of time zoomed into the audio and timestamps of his animation so far. Every placement of audio was a task in and of itself. Not only this, but astute viewers will recognize that Half-Life 2 audio is not echoed in any way. So I had to add the echo in myself with a reverb to try and match the size of the ship. I even adjusted audio to play in either ear depending on their position on screen. Lastly, cutting audio to match a character's death. Cutting audio meant slapping on silence, something that is more tedious than in any way difficult, on each file. This allows any echo and reverb to have a runoff and sound a bit more natural. Sorry. I rambled. Point is, thanks. For something that was a bit of a passing passion project to augment this guy's amazing fan film (Honestly the original is so good I hate calling it an animation as it deserves the suffix "film") and then to get this much love for it was rewarding. I'm going through various things irl but I plan to finishing with a Part II.

@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke4 ай бұрын
Ah, don't be impressed with what I did. It's easy. Just tedious. The real talent was the animation. Being so zoomed in on the audio and watching scenes in slow motion over and over several times all gave me such an appreciation of it. Nothing wasted. No mistakes from what I could see. It was beautiful. And I had this epiphany that this was the same feeling I'm sure those snobs get when looking at artwork in a museum. Awe. Pure awe.
@zacharysheetz37014 ай бұрын
@@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke Humility is healthy. Be aware that art comes in many forms, and requires several things to be good: knowledge of a craft, patient will to deal with meticulous bits, and imagination. Imagination can't be taught. You have it or don't. Many would-be artists don't. You imagined what sounds would work where, and how the size of the ship would effect it. In our world of billions, many artists fall through the cracks and have their work trivialized because technology saturates us with entertainment; and hack liberals push for notions of equality that dilute concepts of being special. "When everyone is special, no one is." Like the art snob passing through a museum, going through countless works, and though you are one of many as 1 in a million is still 1 among thousands in our world of billions, I recognize your abilities. You are among the small percentage with actual imagination, like the animator. In other words, take the compliment buddy.

So damn true. There is definitely a certain badass visage to the silence of them. Their silence is loud. Incredibly so. The ever so subtle movements and gestures seem to be more than enough to communicate between comrades while leaving others in the dark. That said, you've got to admit that the few times an Astarte DOES speak, everyone listens. And that was something which inspired the original idea behind this little fan project of the man's fan film. I know for a fact that my audio additives aren't the greatest. They definitely don't fit the setting all too much. But I enjoyed the process of my extremely simple additions. It was fun to make. Hope you at least enjoyed it. Again though, silent Astartes are based as hell and definitely far better than this garbo.

@TheWolfWhoCriedDuke4 ай бұрын
Well, that was just me not having a name of my own for them. Besides, you'd take one look and know that they were Astartes. Since I used Half-Life audio, I tried to mix the two names. Transhuman Astartes just felt right in that moment. You gotta remember that this was a spur of the moment project that took me a while just to sync up the audio with his animations. I didn't think people would mistake it as me trying to steal content since I had done a whole description on my intentions but I guess I need to be more careful in the future. I mean, this kind of content was never something I wanted to do as my channel is just VODs from my streams. It was more a one-off/possible little mini series where I add audio from other IPs.
