Thanks for all the helpful information about the size of the pan! I’ve been looking at different recipe videos for caramel but none mentioned how much the mix bubbles up. Saved me from a kitchen disaster :)

Howdy Glenn and Kati, I was wondering what makes these caramels Amish? The Brown Sugar turns these into Butterscotch Caramel's. I know lots of people don't understand that, but White Cane Sugar makes a Caramel, Adding Brown Sugar makes Butterscotch. So sure, I could see that maybe Amish Caramels Might actually be Butterscotch Caramels. Either way, I am certain what you created is WONDERFULLY Delicious!! I am a Professional Caramel Maker, so I understand caramel making pretty well. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. I am retired now, but my door is open to anybody needing caramel making help. Have a Beautiful Day!!

The "dumplings" in the chicken and dumplings I grew up with were from a dough my Mom made from scratch. They were light and fluffy and more like biscuits than noodles. The outsides would be denser and full of the chicken broth flavor. I loved to cut them open and let them absorb more of the broth in the fluffy interior. She also cooked an entire cut-up chicken in it. I would call this "chicken and noodles", which my Mom also did. I grew up in Oklahoma and my Mom grew up in New Mexico. I'm not sure when or where she learned to cook her version. Regardless of what you want to call it, this looks yummy!

That’s wasting strawberry. You need to take the sharp end of a knife and core it from the top. 😊. Just a tip 😊.

I liked the recipe, and I will giving it a try. There is one thing that I really hated to see in your video. Everything was just fine, and it was going great until, until you showed the man wearing the baseball hat while sitting at the table. I am a firm believer and was raised that you don’t wear a hat in the house and you will not disgrace the dinner table by wearing a hat.

This video was entertaining as well as instructive. It rivals Martha Stewart, but I think comes out on top because of the cast of characters and all the from-the-garden ingredients. I think that even I could follow this and come out with a decent turkey and dressing. Thanks!
