I've been enjoying your content on KZbin, but I noticed you're not using thumbnails, attractive headings, tags, or effective editing in your videos. These elements can really make a difference in attracting viewers and keeping them engaged. Keep up the great work!

Hey dear,, I visited your KZbin channel and found it needs a lot of updates. First of all your channel video SEO is very weak due to which your channel video views are not increasing. If you do SEO then your video will come first in the search list and your video views and subscribers will increase. I am waiting for your reply. Please let me know if you need my service

Fantastic interview! I truly loved it! The discussion around inclusivity, cultural layers, specific terminologies, and the topic regarding from one nervous system to another is so much needed! The latter is underrated, and I'm glad it was brought up! Thank you!

One can mistake the idea of “diplomatic language” as not really being appropriately direct with what you are trying to communicate. Quite often, one must be appropriately direct in order to get your message across in its entirety. In real diplomacy, this sort of “diplomatic language” is never used. What is used instead are usually more complex, perhaps Latinate words. In real country to country diplomacy, when one needs to pass on an official message about a topic of mutual concern to two countries and it is known that the policies espoused by the two countries involved differ in potentially major ways, if not cleared up, the message is put into polite but direct language, in writing. Such a message is called in international diplomacy, a demarche. Normally demarches are delivered in person and are read verbally to the appropriate government official in the receiving country while also physically delivering the written message. The very notion of “diplomatic language” is an erroneous concept promoted by amateurs. In my opinion this very idea obfuscates the intended message and not only covers up the real message, but also the degree of its real importance. The real intent here is to be appropriately direct with an appropriate degree of politeness and courtesy. Rudeness is never appropriate, a lesson that far too many people have never been taught.

Thank you for your comments, and it is interesting to see how it plays out in politics. Here in this video I am focused on talking about diplomatic language for work and business.

Great topic. I’m not a fan of the new AI technology. It’s the beginning of the end for human creativity, whether it’s writing, art, music etc. Seems like a lazy option that will eventually put many out of work. Just because we CAN use AI doesn’t mean we SHOULD. I for one value the heart and soul of humanity and don’t want technology to cancel that out.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, I certainly think AI has got us all thinking and debating! I believe the reality is that we will all be impacted, so we get to choose how we engage and use it. Creativity is also in how we choose to react and see the opportunities.

Hello, Victoria. I have a question if you don't mind. I am not sure if my use of "Thank you for your understanding." is correct when denying a request in an email. Is it rude to use it as if I've already assumed that the customer will understand?
@culture-cuppa
@culture-cuppa Жыл бұрын
Great question! It depends on the cultural context and the person - in more direct cultures you may want to be more explicit, in cultures with a more indirect communication style then your sentence would make sense.

Thanks for your video on this subject. If you give a chance to me sharing an example about this issue I want to add this. For instance, one of the softener of the language is; when you were asked to give an opinion about a draft directive, most of the officers say "it is acceptable" instead of "we have no command on the draft".So the Commanders do not hear a negative word from the officers.
