Thank you for making a simple version of this. I see people ripping plywood down, planing the wood, they cut everything down to different sizes, using cnc...it's crazy. I'm sitting here going it a jack o lantern box - how difficult do we need to make this? Lol! Gonna make a few of these with the kids and have fun doing it. Thanks again!

Its a play on words. Jig as in a type of dance and jig (in woodworking) is a tool you build to facilitate repeated , accurate and safe cuts. It doesn't seem quite as funny when I have to explain it. Haha!

Ahhhhhh ... I need to do this. I've been getting crappy cuts. I thought it's because I got a cheap saw.
@rayleder370528 күн бұрын
I bought mine about 15 years ago and it still runs great. They were $200 forever, but I see they're up to about $300 now. Still worth it. When the tool was first available, it was the same, but mostly gray with orange accents!

I had similar problems with the flex shaft. It always seemed to either be too loose or too tight. And then the inner drive fell out and got covered in gunk (because it's coated in grease) and I just got fed up and picked up a vevor flex shaft grinder. They're dirt cheap, much quieter, much more flexible, has a speed control pedal and it's a fixed shaft, so it's not going to fall off or get tight... the only downside is the chuck key is a non-standard size. You lose it and you're pretty much toast. That said, you're doing better work with the dremel than I am with my vevor :D
@cosmicfxxАй бұрын
Yeah I see most folks hang the main dremel above, it also is apparently good for the flex shaft as there's less wear n tear

I hang mine from the basement ceiling and like it a lot. My Dremel has a hook that i put thru the hole in my spring clamp and i hang it from a cross board. Makes it super easy to move around if i want to go else ware or just take it down. They also sell a hook for your bench but it was flimsy...

My Dewalt 12" miter saw does not cut completely to the back of the fence. The saw always leaves a tiny piece of wood that does not get contact from the cutting blade. How do I correct this? 👍🏽🤠 06/28/24

Just to clarify when I said I included the mobile base in the purchase of my saw what I meant was that I paid for it as an added item on my order.

Do you have the measurements

The long side pieces are 12 inches long. One of them is 4 and 3/4 inches wide. The other is 5 and 3/8 inches wide. The ends are a little trickier. I now assemble the two long pieces and use them to make measure the wood for the ends. They are around 5 1/2 inches but note the notches to match the sides. The legs are 8 and 1/2 inches long by 1 and 1/8 inches wide. Hope that helps!

I think you had some good ideas. There are a couple of things I saw that may explain why some things didn't sell as well as you thought would. I think when people want to buy wood that is what they want to see. covering the wood with paper may not be what people expect. A little hand painting may be preferred. Your ornaments are very cute I think they would be even cuter if they had some color or sparkle. I was told that not everyone has the same tastes so you may need to expand the styles so you enlarge your inventory and attract other kind of customer. I've learned a lot from other crafters and I'm thankful for their suggestions. I am talking to you in a business setting I am not putting you down I hope this just gives you more ideas and choices.

Uma pergunta James. Você usa muito a Bosch RA 1181? Acha realmente útil, para trabalhos pequenos de artesanato? Tenho uma, estou pensando em vender e comprar uma menor, o que você acha?
@HomestyleWoodCraftsАй бұрын
No, I can't say I have used it a lot. I think the size is reasonable for the kinds of projects I have done and want to do. A smaller table would mean less support for some sizes of projects, but hey do what works for you! :-)
