There is a lot of section eight in this area. Unless, the section eight goes somewhere else there will be problems living in the West End. Where would you like to place the section eight people? Price Hill? Westwood? And then the section eight housing needs to be replaced (Does anyone remember the drug infested high rises in the West End?). It's been going on for more than half a century. The West End and OTR are viewed as a playground for young urbanites and hipsters, full of breweries, restaurants and chic shops.

Millionaire’s Row with a conversion van parked on the street?
@paulfischeruncleyips13 күн бұрын
Don't let the term 'Millionaire's Row' fool you. Low income streets surround this small area. Most of these homes were bought at a low price and then refurbished. Would I like to live here? No, too much hassle and crime in the area. Nice video, though.

Stunning,beautiful buildings.But,what about parking?
@paulfischeruncleyips13 күн бұрын
There are some back alleys and some houses do have a very tight driveway, probably for horse carriages back in the day. I have driven on these streets but never walked them. There are streets very close by that are very low income. This area in Cincinnati is in a transition phase, as property values increase, people will move to other low income areas and more affluent people move in, usually high income younger while collar workers.

@@justinpoole3146 Yes! I think you're right. I heard a similar bird today taking the dog out in the hills. Once we made it down the hill the squeak stopped. The dog is a little bigger than that cat so it would indeed look like a large predator. Large cats however, can actually CATCH birds

Justin, regarding money printing and the subsequent inflation. There is still lots of liquidity in the market and the inflation albeit, slowing is not going away. Consider the lag affect of U.S. Government policies initiated two years ago. Are now showing up in the market place. The 10-vs-2 year year treasury curve will soon un invert. Which through out modern financial history has heralded the onset of a recession. Other indicators are the markets. S&P500, DJIA, NASDAQ, etc appear to be topping. I expect one more rise in the market then retrace significantly. Especially if the FED Rate cuts start. Look at recent market graphs and overlay them with the rate cuts in 2008. Scarily similar. Currently real estate is slowing significantly, price depreciation and increase in housing inventory beginning to increase across the U.S. It's starting in California, too. Unemployment continues to rise, Overall goods and services are seeing marked decreases. Airline travel and vacation bookings are down. Air BnB bookings down so on so forth. Delinquencies in all manner of loans are increasing. Auto, credit card, rentals and housing. A few of the home loan originators/servicing organizations are showing a full 14% month on month increase in over 31 plus days overdue on mortgages. That is current data as reported by Melody Wright. By the first quarter 2025 there will be marked change in the economy and I believe for the worst. Think of it as manufactured uncertainty. We live in interesting times. Prepare as best you can. Cheers, Mate.

@justinpoole3146 There are many abandoned construction projects. There are at least five in the East SFO bay where new projects have suddenly stopped. This is happening all across the U.S. as well. Many major banks are increasing the amount of USD set aside to deal with increasing amounts of loan defaults. Residential, commercial, auto. Also, evictions have markedly increased over the last 3 months. Hard times are coming. Get prepared. Cheers, Mate.

Those neighborhoods died when the factories moved out. Notice there isn't any place to park, back in the day they walked to work or used the bus for the short ride to work. To rebuild this area, you need to bring the jobs back first, then replace several buildings with parking garages. Neither is going to happen, so tear the whole place down and build modern apartment buildings.
