So like I’m trying to compare. I just got back from Marine Corps basic training 2ish weeks ago anddddd like our wake up call was 4am and we had SIX drill instructors SCREAMING “WAKE UP GET ON THE BLACK LINE” at the same time and within 5 seconds we’d all scream “DONE MAAM” then they’d scream at us to get our green money bag on the line and this shit went on for an hour with different articles of clothes and we’d have to hold each thing out with two finger grips and they’d tell us to put our blouses (that we were going to wear!) in our assault bag then 10 minutes later make us go back and get them. Is this how wake up call is at Air Force bmt?? Cause like I’m having a panic attack just thinking about marine corps wake up call😭

I got medically separated due to too many heat cases and I’m not even upset. Constant screaming from 1000+ recruits. Class time wasn’t even class time. Just a drill instructor with a slide show that had all of us scream “KILL” every five minutes. Shits absolute bonkers.

I would say E8, your kinda the in between guy and ur troops are responsible enough to knw better and take the blame. Second is the E7, ur the boss but u take the blame, but it's too high of a rank for anyone to actually do anything to u, beside wait until u retire. Third is the E6, u don't take the blame the E7 does, and u don't hav to do the work of a soldier or sgt 👍

Honestly, I applaud your dedication. But at 7 pairs of socks worn per week, that's about an hour of work, and not worth it. I roll my socks too, but definitely less meticulously and they're always ready to be thrown into an overnight bag. I also roll everything else, towels, t-shirts, polos, pants etc. I was never in the armed forces, but rolling stuff makes a lot of sense when travelling

In 1972,if it was not for the College Veterans Club, I would have been tossed out and jailed for kicking the ass of useless hippy wananbe's. I would not have been alone. But we did take over student government,ran EVERY CLUB and Organization. Made some money too.After three weeks we owned the campus. we were like the Mob. Killers against kids.

Amazing video. I have a lot of Air Force personel in my family including my dad who was in the 321st TRS in 2000. Today my cousin graduates from the 322nd TRS, and eventually after college I will go to BMT too.

Seriously, dude! TWO people and sitting on the floor with your feet against a drawer to roll one pair of socks!!! LOL Only men could complicate something women were doing successfully and fuss-free for years until women's lib and war forced men to learn to roll their own darned socks. Who knew watching someone rolling socks could be so entertaining. The lying on top of each other heel up was all I needed here. Thanks for that at the very least. LOL Anyone watching this - just put your socks on a flat surface and roll carefully. Unless you need it so compact that you plan to use it as a weapon or need two extra millimetres in your backpack, you don't need to go this crazy. Have a wonderful sock-rolling day. :D

A few decades ago, you would pick your job with your recruiter and it was guaranteed. But that was not long after it became a all volunteer force and they needed folks.
@pep5904 ай бұрын
When I went in decades ago, the paper that showed all available bases to choose was so outdated that 3 bases showing on it for me to choose from, were all to close in the next year and were not taking new troops. At least now, you can see where we are needed. Needless to say, I was 1000's of miles away from where I wanted and this lead to me getting out as it seemed that if I reenlisted, I would be at my same hell hole for another year or two and then go overseas, so I got out. My bases choices were not popular by any means. I chose some in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. But to no avail. I always wonder to this day, if they had given me just one of my 8 choices, actually 5 choices, since 3 were closing, that I would have gotten that being close to home out of my system and I would have stayed in. Sadly I was just a young kid and could not see the big picture.

They lied to me at some local College so the recruiters could get a commission. I end up having to pay back all these loans when I could have became a EMT at any Community College and signed up for the FAFSA and the state fee waivers 😮 people just seem to be getting Dumber too and they don't realize that nobody wants people that only went to school online. I hope this message gets to the right person because we need more people in real life that aren't scared to do Hands-On things or talk to people.
