I remember when I was a young child and my grandma used to live in that building. Their used to be a place where you throw your trash down the Chute and then used to burn like a incinerator. That was really scary as a child to see the burning trash.

The newer manufactured homes tend to be of similar quality and appearance as site built houses. The dirt-poor trailers are largely a thing of the past.

The problem with this is you're setting the bottom of the eaves to sit on top of the wall height. If you look at how a house is framed, the pitch of the roof trusses extend downward below the top of the wall until they are horizontally the correct distance from the wall. This angle and distance is very different from case to case depending on the roof pitch and desired overhang distance. It took me some time thinking it out but I was able to solve this dilemma and my sketches of houses look much more realistic since the roof and walls are essentially fused into each other or overlap a bit and not entirely in their own completely separate vertical planes.
