I eont know if anyone noticed that during the end part of morgenstein solo he flubbed his double bass drum part which sounded more like muddy flams rather than the clean singlw strokes he had intended. About this i rejoice and celebrate a recordedoment of real improvisation and a momentary human error . Morgen in this take shows all hos humanity and musicianship. The offering is live and real. I love it all. Jordan rudess famously declared Morgen as his favourite drummwr. No wonder why. Always organic and always honest. Always live too. I love when i can see risk amd wven failure. The performance is qhat makes ot all real in the tirst place. If drums can be doctored and corrected post edit then why have live at all. Live is the human spirit brought to an audience. I once saw terry bozsio and he dropped a stick and hit many rim shots accidentally that one noght. Do you think it mattered? What mattered was the phrasing and music he successfully wxecuted and its that genious and imagination is why we listen to these brilliant guys at all. The erros and sloppy are the beautiful reminders that they are himan and that we purselves are qyalified to presenter ourselves to the world without shame
