Thank you Sherry, I do like painting fur, it one of those things that takes a bit of pre-planning first, before I even put the brush to the painting. 😊
@user-hr3tx6uu9o13 сағат бұрын
@@TheDevonArtist Pre-planning is what it's about but I find myself wanting to rush. Animal fur isn't easy to paint but you've mastered it!

Your hummingbird is so beautiful! You managed these paints so well! I founs your tips on painting foliage so very useful, thank you. I've had Viviva cokours since 2017, when they ran their Kickstarter. They are dye based and fun to use fir a quicm sketch here and there. I would not replace my traditional (legacy brand) watercokours with these. However, they are fun and playful and I am always happy with supplies that are fun.

I was just thinking about the KingFisher painting that you shared on one of your community posts. Therefore, I was looking it up, found this instead. I still believe, of all the renditions of that particular bird, I like your's the best. The colors are betrer and look more natural. I, myself, wouldn't attempt to paint one of those, instead, when I get around to it, I will paint our native Belted Kingfisher, the one I am familiar with and used to watch as a child, and young person. My family home has a creek behind it and a pond in front and beside of it, so we had lots of places to play and observe wildlife. Thank you, Paul for sharing your lovely art and skills with us.

Are you going to do a video on all the mediums you can mix with watercolour
@TheDevonArtist5 күн бұрын
Hi Jacky, I could do, but I'd have to buy all the mediums in the first place. LOL Still, it's a good idea. 😉

Hi Nicki, the one I currently use is latex free, and is called Pebeo Drawing Gum. I have it listed within my materials list is it helps, Paul 🎨 devonartist.co.uk/materials-i-use-or-recommend-for-realistic-watercolour/
