One of my favorite fish to catch at the lake. I havent caught one as vivid as this one but plenty have been close. Oddly enough, no one else around here seems to care anything about them. To me, they look like fish I might see down in Florida snorkeling along a jetty somewhere.

You gotta love the butterfly, backstrap cuts. Place four of them flat in a quart-size freezer bag. Stack them flat in the freezer, and when you're ready for them, they thaw out super quick. I love mine in the mornings for breakfast - makes great steak and biscuits.

That guy has done it a time or two. :) Some of the healthiest foods you can eat are those you obtain yourself - catch, gather, grow and hunt. Great video, and thanks for sharing!

Wow! Great ideas. We have a new nestbox with 3 Western Bluebird eggs so far.. tried feeding live mealworms but the scrub jays and cow birds took over so want to try this. Q: How does the flange attach to the pole? Thanks a million for your innovation! 😊

Such an awesome tribute and celebration of life for Dave Whitlock. I hope to read a few of his books and own some of his prints. I'm particularly fond of his Gorilla Damsel flies as they've landed me quite LMB in east Texas. Thank you for sharing this with everyone on KZbin for all audiences to see.

Wendell is a nice guy... also it is weird but when a cloud will go in front of the sun the trout at dam area will start biting immediately. I have had days timing clouds to casts and just slayed the trout

that fly catches fish , but NOT everything) what you say abuot roach, dace or bream?
@kellyjbostian603 Жыл бұрын
Ha! Not much action on roach or dace to be had around here, but I've caught plenty of sunfish on the smaller versions, and seen Scott catch buffalo and carp with it. Can't get too literal with the names of baits and flies. And, as they say, "Everything has its limits."

@@kellyjbostian603 carp - yes buffalo - yes sunfish - maybe perch - yes roach, dace or bream - no)) roach, dace & bream is my target fish))

U had every kind but my kind of finch feeder. I have no idea how to take it apart & don't even know hiw to explain it to u. No screws or nuts, no tabs to push, nothing to turn & pull. It's maddening & I can't find any video or help. I threw away the label which only said what brand it was & I can't remember that. It's plastic with yellow top, bottom, & perches that are in a large plastic piece shaped like an upside down pear & the feed opening is in the center of star shaped slits.

Check with your state Department of Natural Resources, Forestry Division, for help in planning out a course of action for improving the health & quality of your woodlands. There are a number of things that can be done that benefit the trees, the wildlife & the landowners. The state foresters do this for free, & can let you know about any federal programs designed to help defray actual costs to the landowner.
@Urbicide Жыл бұрын
The "berries" produced by invasive plants have no nutritional value to the birds eating them. They usually have a thin skin over the actual hard seed center. The seeds aren't digested, & when the bird poops, you get another invasive plant growing.
