Homemade kit with the original on3 7665 turbo. Was too small for the 6.0 to make much more power. Eventually switched to a turbonetics 7875 and picked up 100 wheel. The car ended up with a billet s480 though.

@@TurboTA89 Yep. Circle D triple disc. I was able to cut a 1.38 60’ with this converter but ended up going to a non-lockup shortly after. It worked just as good down low but coupled up top better.

It sounds good! Is that the Huron A/C kit? That's what I have for my 99 SS. I'm near done with it, I built a 11.5:1 408 and a little 91/102 T4 from FI/Jose. I'm looking to run either dual 3" or a single 4" exhaust. I don't have a tig welder, so this one's out of my hands. I just want it to sound different than most turbo cars and can't stand a fender exit on a streetcar.

This is actually a garage built kit a buddy and I threw together. It exited right past the k-member and I had a local exhaust shop finish the rest. I loved this setup.

I'm selling my 2002 Duramax and going to get a gas truck. I'm probably going to get a 1500hd. I tow a 14' trailer with two zt mowers. I've been curious about the mpg of these trucks. I'm not worried about while I'm towing my lawncare trailer,but hoping to get a truck that gets 15 mpg minimum highway when not towing. I could get by with a regular 1500,but I like the idea of HD brakes and the stronger 4l80e transmission. I've read forums about the 4:10 gears in the 2500 6.0 taking a big hit on mpg when not towing.
@Long022 жыл бұрын
This one had 3:73’s and was a turd. After this truck I owned a 2003 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1L and 4:10’s. It was a beast.
@UnitedWeStand2020 Жыл бұрын
You're better off with the Duramax, more power and better mpg, even when towing. My 02 1500hd 6.0L with 3:73 gears will only get 10 maybe 11 mpg NOT towing anything, and that's going downhill with the wind pushing me. Cut that in half while towing. Great truck but cost a fortune to drive it. I'm switching to a Duramax.
@veilcrowe Жыл бұрын
@@UnitedWeStand2020 I ended up getting a2004 GMC 2500 6.0. It unfortunately has issues that are likely effecting my MPG. I knew it would get bad mileage,but I'm getting 8 mpg mixed driving. I only switched because I was worried about the expense when a diesel has mechanical issues. Now I'm kind of regretting my decision.
