As far as I know, the F stop stays the same as far as light getting in. I think the doubling only applies to depth of field, so the 2.5 will give an equivalent DoF of 5 on a full frame.

Wish someone would do a db check. They are a free app for smart phones. These are rated at 72 to 74 dbs on the Trane Spec sheet. Mine is around 79 to 82. I’m using that as a reason to demand a replacement pump since the starting amps went from 98 to 122 in six months. I had a hard start kit installed and now its back down but louder than ever so the compressor is eating up amps. I’m going to demand they change the pump next maintenance visit. It’s out of specs for noise.

I bought one of these used and the thumb wheel above the AF/AE lock is running without any clicks and does not appear to generate any input to the camera. The other wheel works, and that one is clicky. Is mine broken? How is yours working?

The bus was already engaged past the stop line and technically in the intersection. The driver must clear the intersection on a yellow, especially on a "hot yellow" (expiring) light. 40 year CDL driver, trainer and safety captain here so my opinion is qualified based on occupation, training, licensing and experience. No traffic violation occurred.

Who cares. My schools bus exit was so difficult to get out of that busses wouldn’t stop at the stop sign once one was able to get out: they’d follow each other inches apart because nobody would let them out. It was pretty typical for my bus or other buses to do this same thing at one light because it only let 2 or 3 cars through. Giant yellow bus isn’t gonna get hit. Could be argued they were after the white line making them in the intersection so they are required to finish the maneuver

Theres a case to be made the bus ran a yellow light but not red. Last I checked starting to go through a yellow light isnt illegal

I disagree. The bus was past the stop line (while it was green), meaning it was already in the intersection. If he would stay in that position it would block the way of those who turn left from the right. I don't know how it is in the USA bu in my country there is a so called emptying time after the light turn red, for situations like this.
