I've got the Renegade's big brother, the Banshee, and absolutely love the knife. The handle shape is just perfect.

Nice!! I borrowed the Banshee for a little while and can totally agree with your testaments to it. It was just a bit too large for my liking...The Renegade fits me like a glove though. Steve sure knows how to make a great knife!

3 YEAR UPDATE.... It's cool to see that this video is still getting so much attention...Thank you! I am, indeed, still carrying a lot of this same gear (over 3 years later) - That is proof that quality gear is worth the investment. HOWEVER, my loadout has changed a bit since this video. I've minimized a lot of things based on my experience level, training in the outdoors, and simple because I don't want to carry as much stuff (lol). If you'd like to see an updated Haversack Kit video, let me know by dropping me a comment below!

You know it’s a good set up when while watching the video you’re wondering just how much you’re gonna have to spend a copy the set up
@AnthonyAwaken
@AnthonyAwaken Ай бұрын
LOL! Yeah, these setups are definitely not the cheapest sometimes. The best route is to slowly acquire good gear, save up & ask for things for your birthday/holidays/etc. Also, it's worth mentioning, I still use a lot of the gear I've shown in this video, all of these years later...So, it's built to last :) Maybe I'll have to do a "Best Budget Haversack" video at some point as well...It's always fun to maximize the 'ole dollar on a solid setup! Thanks for watching & commenting!

That was fun. I don’t really shoot knives but do shoot other edc stuff. Nice to see your process. I’d be curious to hear more about gear; camera settings, focal lengths of choice and what you’re looking for when scoping out compositions. Maybe some editing tips too 🍻

From the reviews I seen, and the looks of the videos, I can see where this is a quality piece of equipment. However, I just cannot justify spending $100 on something like that when I've had a lot of luck with just a fish line a hook and a stick.

I can totally hear ya on price - I like some expensive gear...But, I always like to have good budget-friendly options around too. Check out these options: • Helikon-Tex Bandicoot and Possum. I have attached shock cord to these to hold my bottle before and it works well-enough to get ya by. • Blue Ridge Overland Gear Bum Bag XL. I love the "Bum Bag" line from BROG. And I'm using the XL a lot this year. Those recommendations aren't identical to the Grayl Bottle Lock Hip Pack...But, hopefully it'll give ya some other good options to take a peek at.
@neologian1783
@neologian1783 5 ай бұрын
@@AnthonyAwaken It's a cool looking hip pack, don't get me wrong. It's just that it's easily double the $$ of commensurate hip packs from top end manufacturers like M.R., Osprey, Mountainsmith etc. I myself have been known to go in for a high priced item here or there but generally try to reserve that for products that are novel or U.L. and spending double on a hip pack to get a few gear loops on the bottom doesn't fit the bill IMO.

I can't remember the exact weight of this kit. But, these days I try to keep my haversack loadouts light (5-8lbs max). I've noticed if I carry much more than that in a haversack it can get uncomfortable.
