Beautiful Light soill to grow that bumper crop. Great to see you did very well. The curly grub is some fisherman's dream for bait. There's usually a bare patch of ground in a grass paddock that signals those grubs are under the surface. They eat the roots of grass usually. Earth worms eat potatoes too so you did really well to get them harvested before more little creatures moved in. Lol

Top video. We grew up picking green beans, peas & corn. Watching you picking the butter beans brought back memories as a kid lol. Q. Do you pick your larger tomatoes before they fully ripen? ( Which allows plant to focus on the rest of it's fruit while the others ripen in your house ).❤
@bulasty4 ай бұрын
@@exscapegoatpowerfulhealer9685 Many thanks. No, I never done that. There is enough time here usually for them to ripen on the plant without doing that. I do pick the green tomatoes at the end of the season if there are any left.

a lovely harvest of onions sir...I've grown Ailsa Craig and red Karmen from seed and have had the same issue as you... some big, some small. I tried Seton from sets this year as I've always grew either Sturon or Stutgarter in the past. Got a really good harvest from them with only two going to seed from eighty+ sets. Just one question though.... I usually leave the stalks on full length while curing. I it better to cut them as you do?
@bulasty4 ай бұрын
Thank you. I tried Sturon in the past. It is a good variety. As for cutting the stocks. I think as long as you leave 2-3 inches, it makes no difference. For me, it is easier to handle them without the tops, dry a bit quicker, and take less space.
