Now that the JR Pass is not a good deal, we have made use of the Tokyo Subway Pass the last couple of times in Japan. It’s a great value at 1500 JPY for three days. It more than paid for itself. There are, of course, routes that are a little longer when you use the subways rather than the JR trains, but by the same token, some destinations are much easier to reach by subway. For example, the Tsukiji Outer Market requires a long walk to reach if you only use JR trains, but is quite close to a couple of subway stations.

Yes, totally agree! Most of the popular tourist spots in Tokyo are close to each other. It's not worth using JR Pass during the stay in Tokyo central area!

This pass is for tourists who hold a non-Japanese passport, but not for the foreigners with temporary stay status. You can double-check with the staff!!!

Not that I am aware of!! There are lots of tourists visiting every day, but I have never heard anything about snakes!!

Some areas/seats have minimum expenses, but some don't! You better check with the staff when you reach there as rules can be changed anytime!!

As you can see from the video, they don't have lockers but shelves only, so we believe you can take your backpack in, but whether you can get a shelf or not depends on your luck! Always keep the valuables with you!!

Hi Geo, thanks for watching our video! If you have purchased the magnetic pass, you have to use it by 30 Jun 2024. Because starting from 17 Jun 2024, they will change all pass to digital. Better check their website before buying, as we mentioned in the video, their terms and conditions are always changing!😊

thanks for watching Daniel! Yes, you are right! Ha..ha....you can buy it online via Klook before arriving in Japan. If you are in Japan, you can easily get it from the tourist centre in the big metro stations like Ueno, Shinjuku, Ginza etc., or the Tourist Info centre at Haneda and Narita Airport!😊

Hi, thanks for the video. I will be using the JR Kansai Mini Pass. Which train is included in the pass? I have read JR website but it is confusing with the different options and limitations. I believe with the Mini Pass (without having to pay extra), I can only ride the Airport Rapid Line, am I right? Is it possible to reserve seats on any train using the JR Kansai Mini Pass (I will be using it to go to Nara and Kyoto as well)? Thank You
