You're a great speaker but the Church that you speak about is not even vaguely related to what is witnessed by Catholics today. I don't even know if there is even one Bishop who permits authentic Catholic faith to be expanded in any diocese in Ireland. Worlds apart!

TLDR: Skip this video. "Marx's most basic values are ... violent." Actually that's Marx diagnosis, not his values. Calling it Marx's values is fundamentally a dishonest exposition of Marx. This old man made similar errors about Plato in other videos. What Plato, Aristotle, Marx, and other western philosophers said is if you do X, expect Y. They are not recommending those Xs, but warning of consequences. They are diagnosing the human condition. Plato offers the ideal to measure against. We still have to decide, make choices. Hobbes, Machiavelli, Descartes, Kant, and the rest gave other consequences in more detail. They use analogies just like Plato's Allegory of the Cave, but to illustrate their point. Mistaking those illustrations for their own personal values is a gross misunderstanding. In this old man's long teaching career, I shudder to think how many students were misled.

Not a fair comparison between these two titans: Kreeft is a devoted christian and Catholic .. no wonder he favors Kirkegaard etc .. he’s smitten with the unseen world and Socratic “reason” .. what a waste of time

Seriously, what beauty is to be found in suffering? A thesis germane here is empirically contradictory and theologically questionable. The realistic response is to be found in the doctrine of the Paschal Mystery.

the eucharist is a wicked roman catholic event, that rejects Christ's death on the cross as sufficient for salvation. when Jesus says eat His flesh and drink His blood, it is talking about a spiritual transformation, not a literal eating and drinking of Christ. the roman catholic church falsely tries to infer that both salvation and faith can come through the eucharist.

recently my mom was suffering in the hospital and l searched for bible and suffering and I read that suffering drops out sins and it seems to have to do with jesus compassion for our suffering and we join in his suffering to drop our sins and he drops ours. A believer can find a solace in their suffering knowing they have dropped their sins so no matter what gods will is, jesus is helping us again because he wants us in the kingdom. tyj tyj
