I really don't like this battle. The first two phases are fine, but the last phase is so unbalanced and forces you to play very specific. If Yuna is at this point knocked, it is an instant game over. Also you don't know what kind of magic Seymour will cast at first, so either you have to guess (which is bull*hit) or you have to sacrifice one of Yuna's Aeons to look ahead the next spell. But in both cases Yuna must take her turn before Seymour, otherwise he literally one-shots her with his spells (at least in my case). And if she dies, you can start the entire battle all over again. How are you supposed to know his tactics on the first playthrough?

Even better tip, use rikku and throw a petrify grenade to instantly take out the guado guards and have yuna dispel whatever buffs are on seymour, use yuna a lot for nul spells until her OD gauge fills, get seymour to half healt so he summons anima, use yuna to grand summon shiva, use diamond dust to kill anima and have either shiva or the party finish seymour off (heavenly strike DEMOLISHES seymour and slows him) and bam. Easy fight

I was new and never grinded. Yuna's nul abilities came in handy though. Especially since Seymour has a very predictable attack pattern.
