My colleagues at the nursing home i worked at, were black or philapinose a few white, the residents constantly didn't want my black colleague to be near them. Gust because they are old , it's still predugiest. The white carer's hardly cared, my black colleagues always went above and beyond what was needed. Prejudice is learnt at a early age, it grows into hate toʻ easily. 😢😢😢😢😢

Why doesn't this video reveal exactly where this St. Mary's Hospital is located. City, State, and exact address. The reason is apparently none of the stories from "Nest Stories" Channel are real events that actually happened. They are fiction written by authors and made up. It seems weird to listen to a story that never actually happened, and that fact is not made clear up front it is Fictional. The people who post reactions here seem to think the story was real.

This story is a sad reality.. We must be very watchful of our children around all people, regardless of the person's age or time on jobs or title.. Subtle racism is wrong, and hurtful.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story of hope and healing. It's truly heartwarming to see how Sheriff Tom and Immani found each other and created a loving family. Stories like this remind us of the power of compassion and connection.

I like both Mr. Edward's and his observations of Nurse Angela. Having her upfront and centered to his professional intake. I loved it that he didn't like discrimination and racism. I too have felt that and I'm white. I felt discrimination in my job as a sales associate at a big company that sells clothing for the whole family. How I was overlooked because I wasn't wearing fancy clothing. I did appreciate the discount on clothing at the store to be able to dress nicely. I didn't like it that my pay was taken from my check if I didn't sell a thousand dollars of merchandise a day. And when I did, the customer would return the merchandise and I was then again going home with less money. I believe that's discrimination. I sold the merchandise. Felt proud that I did! And then it being returned wasn't my fault? I worked there nearly 6yrs. In another big box store I worked at age 48. Excited about helping people and learning the job. I was elated at how many people I helped and had them glad I was there. I watched customers walk into my area and that was my signal to ask, may I help you? I had worked there not getting 40hrs and an opening came up. Tool world next to Hardware. I had already worked both departments. A younger man had been there for 4 months and applied for the full-time position. My coworkers helped me learn that area. I had worked 2yrs there. But because I was a woman they hired the young man. 😢 I was heartbroken 💔 Then the young man with no experience at talking about a pay raise came out and said he got the job but didn't get a raise. I call it karma. He knew I wanted that job. So did the managers of that department! So I've been discriminated bc I am a WOMEN. I got hurt the next year picking up 15 boxes individually that weighed 40 pounds each. I had to have surgery on left elbow and carpal tunnel surgery on left hand years later. My back wasn't going to let me stand on that concrete any longer. I had hurt my right foot another time and it caused neuropathy. That was 12yrs ago and I'm 64in 3 weeks. I struggle with my injuries but I'm a survivor. No I didn't sue. I had no ideal to do that. I got no workman's comp.

I will NEVER FORGET WHEN I was a medical student at Cook county hospital and I WAS GIVEN A LOW GRADE in a rotation, and asked a doctor why? I was told it was cause my eyes were too blue! SO PREJUIDISM GOES BOTH WAYS. I WAS GIVEN A LOW MARK BY A BLACK FEMALE DOCTOR SUPERVISOR CAUSE I’M WHITE. AND FYI, I’ve lived in Africa, which was very nice. In West Africa it was a definite automatic fault of the white person, if anything at all happened, like a car accident. And if stopped by police, the white person WAS GUILTY, regardless of facts, and had to pay them. The system was so corrupt. When I arrived to NYC from Europe I noticed black people treating me badly, as if I was the descendent of slave drivers, but I had no such ancestry. I’m European. And I loved Africa, our whole family did. So was a bit perplexed over the attitudes I experienced by American black women. The men flirted. The women snarled.
