German language requirement... I do not understand it: you have job advertisement in IT written completely in English and then always but always the last point of required skills is German and English!!! Why the heck is advertisement written in English? Why the hack is the last point about German language requirement. And why, o why, why do you search for German language speaking person that speaks English??? I guess that ethnic German is maybe not so confident in speaking English at work but in IT she needs to know it so that documentation, UI, help... can be read. The next thing I do not understand. Germans are aware that their language is schwere Sprache, they know it sounds a bit harsh for others, they know that it is not so popular outside (for example in my Serbia, you learn English from 1st grade primary school, and secondary foreign language from 3rd, German is just one of many secondary foreign languages so everyone speaks English and maybe every fifth German), you do not hear songs in German as before, you do not here it on TV (in '80s we had in Yugoslavia Klinikum Schwarzwald and Die Glückliche Familie but now we have nothing). Employers know that there is no enough workers, specially in IT. I have heard young people in S-Bahn talking about their future. They were saying that they do not see themself in IT because you sit whole day, you have to learn always, use your brain, and in the end they said that IT is Intelligent Techniker making fun of IT people. So they are sure that there are easier ways to earn for a life, so only foreigners can fill that void. With all that said I would expect employers to do something. If it is necessary to know German, then do like in Medical branch: ask for some entry/middle German level: A2/B1 and then let person work in German speaking environment so that it can learn and progress in language. Give even deadline like in 6 months you need to be at B2/C1, give also support in part of working time for learning, in courses for language... Anyhow in IT a newjoiner is in first months of employment unusable.

As I work here and in English speaking company with a lot of foreigners I claim that majority of foreigners would like to learn German, to have their life if Germany eased, to be better integrated in society. And if employer wants German speaking skills why not joining efforts in synergy so that both sides are happy in the end. I have a filling that employers are searching for perfect employee so that they do not need to invest nothing and that employee can be used immediately. But that will not happen specially in branches where a lot of skill, knowledge and experience is needed, like in IT. On top of all languages, tools, libraries, databases.... you need to know, you have to find time to learn German. It is expected from you to do it outside of working hours. Even when my company was paying our course and it was held in our office it was outside of working hours, it was our private time. And speaking about working time... Germany is in middle ages with 9 hours of work. In Serbia it is 7,5h for work and 0,5 for lunch so 9 till 17. In Germany for foreigners it is 9 till 18.

Is law field possible or impossible to get a job in Germany??? I have graduated in Law. So are there some companies in Germany where they do give internships to foreign law graduates with their LLB bachelor of laws degree or is law field impossibe and hard getting a law job in Germany at private companies or private companies or at the NGOs like at UNICEF red cross etc to work as for instance, Legal officer, legal advisor or compliance officers in the financial institutions????
@chrispyak Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Law is very limited in demand and you would also actually need German (for once) - better to apply your abilities in a business setting.

Ok me Chris's. So in Business setting such as in Financial institutions such as in banks or in the insurance companies and other private companies right??

Or you mean I need to have any business qualifications such as MBA masters in business administration to be able to work in businesses sir??
@chrispyak Жыл бұрын
@@samuelankome5999 I would recommend you shift into areas where you work more as an consultant etc. Because there are very few jobs that require international law and the competition there is very high. You need to find a market niche where you can apply for at least 5 jobs per week for a period of up to six months. (So, roughly 100 jobs in total). Because you need a certain amount of feedback in order to understand where your market niche is. I can help with that and also introduce you to hiring managers behind jobs that YOU have chosen - but my next round of coaching starts literally tomorrow (1. February) - and there is only one seat left: www.immigrantspirit.com/miracle

Dear Chris pyak I hope you are doing well. My name is Amina Berghout I'm 23 years old and I'm from Algeria. I was in a foreign languages class, I studied English, French, and Spanish besides to other subject materials. I opted for English as a major in my bachelor's and in master's I chose applied linguistics and went to Poland as an Erasmus trainee. Now I'm learning German I want to work in Germany and I also want to volunteer in schools. I want to teach English to kids and learn German there. I'm also interested in finding English speaking jobs in Germany until I reach the wanted level in German and maybe I will apply for Ausbildung. I hope you read my comment and give me your opinion about what can I work there? Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely yours,
@chrispyak2 жыл бұрын
Dear Berghout, Thank you for reaching out to me. English language alone is not enough to find a job in Germany. We have plenty of people who speak English. My advice: You need to find something that only you can provide. Because only then will employers be willing to take up the trouble of the visa process. I am sorry I don't have more positive news for you.

Hello Mah, education is highly regulated by German states. It's near impossible to work as a teacher in the regular schoolsystem. You could look to become a tutor in the corporate world, teaching business English. But you face huge competiton from lots of British people doing the same.
