Thunder bringer should be called Gift Giver or present bringer or something along those lines idk, or maybe PARTY BRINGER or something I don't know. Or if you want Zeus to be an antagonist like he was originally you could just make it so he destroys the rest of the presents because of something Odysseus did on Helios / Apollo's Island, depending on which of the two is the actual sun god in your eyes and could call it Gift Taker instead, or maybe Present destroyer. Actually, maybe it should be gift breaker as it would actually fit better to sing, Idk. Also I'm guessing 600 strikes is going to be called 600 gifts because lets say each one of Odysseus's men had each had a present for Telemachus.

I understand why Merlin might not want this to be canon, the birthday saga timeline needs a bad guy, Poseidon should still be the big bad but instead of wanting to murder Odysseus, he just wants to make sure Odysseus misses his sons birthday. this way 600 strikes should still be able to happen.
