The animation looks cool, but it is not an accurate depiction. So for clarity, I will explain: Firstly, they do not use laser communication - they use S-band (which is invisible) and has a beam-width of 35 degrees to reach each other. There are only 4 satellite. Very cool project btw. Good demonstration.

I come from the future. Your idea has been implemented by SpaceX and now we can access internet from any place on Earth.

Completely missed the point, its not there to be a communications network for you to get internet. It is a method for small satellites in space that are collecting environmental and other research data to network with each other so the data is accessible at all times to a single ground station, rather than having to wait for each satellite to individually come into view. Essentially long range space WiFi..

Did you mean "sun synchronous orbit"? That would place the constellation out of ground station range twice per day. You showed the earth turning in the wrong direction and the satellites turning with the earth. Now confused.

Sky and Space global (ASX listed company) has the same idea. They already launched 3 nano sats. In 2020 they will have a full constellation with 200 nano sats and generating revenues up to 1 Billion$ (@P.Vievek you don't have to mix narrowband vs. broadband solutions)

These are tiny cubesats with tiny solar panels. You need more energy to transmit at a higher data rate over such a distance thus a much bigger and more expensive satellite. Besides..with 1 MBit/s is takes 80 seconds to transmit 10 MBytes not a couple days... Just a few years ago this was quite a lot even with cable internet. I rememeber having browsed the web with 56 kBit/s in the late 90s which are 0.056 MBit/s. That's plenty for scienfitic data and text messages.

I have no idea how you came up with that, it would take 10seconds to get that file down.

Not sure if you mean me or him but a Byte of data consists of 8 Bits. The data rate is given in bit/s because a bit is the smallest bit you can transmit while the smallest amount of data you can save on a drive is a Byte or 8 Bits. So a data rate of 1 MBit/s means you can write 0.125 MByte/s or 10 MBytes in 80 seconds. It's a little confusing but it makes kind of sense.
