@@davidgierlinger4689 Nice! 4" are great for edc but I have been finding that the larger ones would be helpful for recent things that I've been working on. I wish they were not so expensive.

They’re the same blade. And that tab is supposed to hit your thumb so you don’t close it straight onto your flesh. The scales are different widths. I definitely dislike the thumb disc but it’s got a flipper tab.

Thankfully I haven't cut myself yet. Thumb disk is strange flipper works well. Thanks for commenting!

i’ve been cut closing the wurdig but it wasn’t anything big, just a pinch. as long as you’re paying the absolute minimum amount of attention when closing it you’ll experience zero issues.

Checkout the Maxpedition coin purse. It’s perfect when you want a more compact setup. I keep a SOG Powerpint, small flashlight, and a few other edc items. 👍

I just picked mine up today but I grabbed the canvas mikaeta version. I saw the review on it from a different channel but they didn't have anything at my local WAlmart so I had to drive out of town for this one. So far I love it and I can't wait to see how the canvas patina and wears over time. I do agree the thumb disk is a bit awkward but the flip action on it is incredible. This knife really does feel quality. Cheers on hitting 1k subs and great review sir.

In hindsight I think I would have preferred the micarta version but agree that the action is fantastic! The only thing is that blade on mine became off center over time after several uses. Thanks for your support!

I got this for work a year ago and I love it and hated when i lost the bit (and the retaining bb). I modified the bit holder by deepening it with a 1/4 bit and it can now hold double sided klein type bits. The size for me is fine. I wish Letherman would make the Skeletool with a full size utility knife (iknow there's a mini utility blade mod for it but i get free full size blades from work.). That would be a killer edc tool.

Thanks for commenting! It is hard to find a multitool that takes standard utility blades. It's why I got this to begin with. I think Roxon has a multitool where you can swap out the tools as you please. One of them might be a utility knife but I can't remember.

I carried the regular blade version of that Milwaukee for months. It’s a little thinner, but it is longer. I will say that among my blue collar friends the one you show is a very common EDC knife. Ok agree it’s pretty big, but you get a real bit driver and it actually works as a utility knife. I ended up switching over to carrying a leatherman most of the time and that is even bigger and heavier (curl/P2/Arc/bond are the ones I carry). It is mainly driven by your pants and preferences. I wear work style pants so a leatherman or big Milwaukee is not an issue. Thinner/tighter pants I could see it being an issue.

Yes, for me it's really an issue of size and weight. I prefer smaller edc items that fit comfortably in a regular pocket or even a small pouch. I have the regular version that is not 6-in-1 as well and it is a little smaller but still too thick for me. Its still a great value at $20 for what you are getting! Thanks for commenting.

I been eying this knife for awhile and messed with it at Walmart a few times and also the wurtdig but im torn if i should get this or something else. Its definitely a nice knife for the price.... and well built. I can tell you one thing thow my local Walmart ive had 3-4 guys that work there in sporting goods and the auto shop that carry both and they swear by this knife and the wurtdig that they are great knives and they told me they recommend them.

I have grown very fond of the gerundet and still carry it to this day. I recently tried out the wurdig which I liked initially but returned because the blade would not stay centered. It's also not the easiest knife to take apart and maintain. The only other knife at walmart that might be worth checking out is the new ozark trail in d2 steel with the crossbar lock. It was just released like a week ago I think and only costs $10. Hope this helps!

You happen to have a video on the wrap on the handles of your pliers?
@michaeledc
@michaeledc Ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting! The method I used is actually to wrap a handle to a backpack/bag but it worked well for the pliers. You create a bite and alternate weaving the long end back and forth, over and under the 2 strands using micro cord. It's a bit tricky so take your time. Best of luck! video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXivdquIr7h3jbMsi=2eHdIA2TSoe51pnt

I think even if the tabs broke, the pliers would still function. It just wouldn't have a detent slowing down the undeployment of it. That should be fine. I wouldn't call it fatal. Plenty of multitool don't have a detent there for its plier function.
