As a pianist I have always liked the sound the guitar guives for Bach. It's somehow (maybe because of the sound type) cosmic.

Bream's left-hand Pinky seems to be really long. Mine is way shorter than the other three. He's always been my favorite Guitarist

It's very good on a technical level but, it's a little bit boring. I still enjoyed it nevertheless. I love when Bream does his crazy faces. It looks like he's defecating.

3:09 Look at that right hand! Amazing, beautiful use of "sul tasto" (near the fretboard) to a middle position to a bright "ponticello" (near the bridge). This is a paramount performance for classical guitar in my opinion. Long live Julian, wait for us up there (hopefuly!).

There's a new classical guitarists named Stephanie Jones. She's as good if not better. I've listened to Bream for years and listened closely. She's a new treasure
@CanadianDivergent
@CanadianDivergent 4 ай бұрын
@@andrew3979 no she isn't as good. she has good technique but Parkening and Bream have an unmatched Timbre and tone. Jones doesn't use apoyando the way masters of this generation do. granted she is a great player but Millennials lack in interpretation and colouring that the post Segovia Russel/Bream, Williams/Parkening School has inmho.
@andrew3979
@andrew3979 4 ай бұрын
@@CanadianDivergent she's extraordinary. I don't like the idea of someone new taking the place of the founding fathers of classical guitar but I know without a shadow of a doubt bream would be deeply moved and impressed by her playing. I've heard her live and I've listened to EVERYTHING classical guitar on KZbin. She's up there. Especially at her age.
@CanadianDivergent
@CanadianDivergent 4 ай бұрын
@@andrew3979 Oh absolutely there is no question she is a great player. I agree that the masters of the last generation would have loved the next level players, such as Jones, My observations are that the younger generation have more technical facility, but as mentioned they use far more free stroke,...and maybe that IS a better way to play, IDK? I just think the golden era was when we had Bream, Parkening, Williams, and then Russell is kinda the last one of that era, and it was a golden era of playing. I personally don't think Jones is anywhere close to Russell when it comes to technique. he is the pinnacle of that. his Bach is practically Flawless. the new generation is just different, no less of great players, just the approach is much different.

Classical most unergonomic guitar with flat fingerboard? I want it little curved, narrower, cutaway body, two mics, and shorter scale 630mm. I have old tradition classical guitar. It is 50% harder than any my other guitars to play. It would be okay if have huge long fingers.

If I saw right about 1:23 he missed thumb note!? Look closely. He is one of the best but still human and one of the hardest piece on guitar. It is same as climbing Mount Everest or get same feeling when you finished this song.

Много гитаристов играют быстрее, но когда слушаешь исполнение Ю.Брима, то сразу попадаешь в ту эпоху, совершенно другое исполнение, другие краски, другой рассказ, другая история. Как он это делает?
