Dorm rooms bring back so many memories. Any of them I ever stayed in though always had that old musty smell that really got my allergies going 😂 if I stayed inside for longer periods of time I would sneeze nonstopb

How much clothes is too much clothes? I feel like I have too many. I don't want to hog the closet 😅

I totally understand that haha😅 Shoot for a mostly capsule wardrobe and plan to rewear your dresses, skirts, and pants a lot. You will have dresser drawers, but you will not be able to bring all your clothes. Also prioritize clothes that can double as layering pieces. This question is hard to answer, so maybe I’ll do a video on it someday, but lastly I’d recommend brining a mid-sized bin with pack your first 3 weeks of the next season change-depending on if you can travel home for breaks. [AKA start in the Fall so pack your winter coat(s) and your thickest sweaters OR for spring semester pack your tank tops/ summer dresses and extra sandals in the bin] Hope that was helpful!!☺️

@@eliselewis Thank you. I was thinking of buying some collapsible hangers to save room in the closet, so either I could use them, or whoever uses the majority of the closet could. I kind of wish I knew ahead of time who my roommates would be, so I could figure a few things out for the future. I'm supposed to be starting BJU in the fall of 2025

Here are the books: 1) "How We Love", discusses six stress management styles that we use in relationships to decrease stress 2) "Captivating: Unvieling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul" which identified the three core desires of a woman 3) "Changes That Heal", which discusses the four developmental task that a person must perform to get healthy and 4) "Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No To Take Control of Your Life" Each of these books is Christian and offer tremendous insight into how to improve relationships and build up your character. Have you heard of any of these books?

When I was in the dorms, late 90s....music was really over- the - top. No Contemporary Christian music. It was basically Hymns, the Wilds and Ron Hamilton....or classical instruments. I had roommates who had Disney cd rejected because it had songs from Lion King and Aladdin. We had to take all cds and cassettes down to the dorm supervisor to be checked. We all laughed about it. That was over 20 years ago. I know BJU is not as tight now, and I think it was great! I always agreed with them about music that was too worldly. I felt like the stance on CCM was too over- the- top. That is just me. The people at BJ are so friendly and the campus is beautiful. I will always be thankful. ( I was in the Academy as a dorm student in Mary Gaston). I am so glad you are having a good experience there.
