I was diagnosed of thyroid nodule since 2013 with recommendation to do biopsy but when I compared from 2013 to 2014 the size varied , actually right side of a lobe reduced by half but middle portion doubled in size amd left side of the lobe remained same. No hoarseness of sound or any blood abnormality or vital abnormality. Runs benign tumor in the family. What shall I do. I have ofcourse few nodules but I am stating only the one that ultrasound report claim suspected. I thin I shoukd monitor few more years since I lived in houston , the most polluted place from.chemical plants amd polluted water and now moved out of country

I was diagnosed with Asthamitic rhinitis. Reduced the symptons for about 95% by doing the "elimination diet". And eleminated the need for allergie pills, steriod inhaler and nasal spray. Eczema has been reduced as well for about 95 %. If stick firmly to the diet I sometimes reach 0% in symptons. Which means I don't eat anything that triggers a response.

This issue needs to be addressed by the medical community. Urgent Care, ER, and PCP all missed this diagnosis and was not able to get proper treatment until over a month after losing my hearing in one ear randomly at work. Even knowing what a healthy ear drum looks like was missed by all of those Dr's and nurses. If I was as bad at my job as all of the Dr's that saw me I would be out of a job! Education is key to catch this fast and treat asap! Two months later most likely my hearing will not come back and hoping to get a cochlear implant if I qualify with the VA.

I have an issue with my Inspire device responding to the remote at turn on. As advised, I eliminated the interference of wifi and cell phones from the room but it does not remedy the issue. I requested from a number of Inspire reps and from the 800 tech support to trial a different remote (to eliminate that as the issue) but they repeat the wifi and cell phone interference as a user problem. It appears they get the complaint often and corporate does not have a good answer. RSG, 85207

Vitamin D and its receptor are considered to be vital in the protection against respiratory infections. Overall, there was a significant beneficial effect of vitamin D supplementation in decreasing the risk of experiencing at least one acute respiratory tract infection (OR 0.88; 95% CI: 0.81, 0.96; P=0.003). Vitamin D help with bacterial infections. We have shown that vitamin D3 appears to stimulate the type I interferon signalling system in the body - a key part of the immune system that provides a first line of defence against bacteria and viruses. Thus, a healthy vitamin D3 status may help prevent viruses and bacteria from gaining a foothold in the body. Does vitamin D help with phlegm? Vitamin D, vitamin B12, and folate are all important vitamins for the functioning of the brain and the prevention of inflammation. A deficiency in any of these vitamins may cause inflammation in the brain, which in turn can lead to the production of phlegm.

History: had rhinoseptoplasty in 2016. Symptoms: unilateral pain/pressure under left cheekbone; no discharge, lasting several days, recurs every few months. Chronically obstructed left sinus; reduced airflow. Also, chronic TMD and bruxism. No amount of nasal corticosteroid sprays, daily saline rinses, etc. prevent recurrence, provide symptom relief nor address the underlying anatomic issues. Oxymetazoline is the only decongestant that works to provide temporary relief of congestion, but cannot use for more than a day or two. It does nothing to relieve pain/pressure. CT just came back. Impression: Mucosal opacification of the near-complete opacification of the left maxillary sinus. Opacification of the left ostiomeatal unit. Deviation of the nasal septum to the right. Septo revision with endoscopic uncinectomy?

Last week the ent took wax out of my left ear and then saw some hair on my ear drum and plucked it out with a tool. It hurt. Now it's all inflamed and another ent looked in and said I have otitis externa and he prescribed neomycin/polymyxin B/Hydrocortisone drops. But I have very tiny canals and if I put these drops in my ear canal, it will clog up, making me very uncomfortable and possibly dizzy. I may just wait and see if it gets better on its own. He said it could, but it could also get worse. No puss. No fever. No diabetes. I'm 71. It itches and hurts

I wonder if ear cartilage is really strong enough? It's pretty soft though. Did anyone have this Procedure?
@willzsportscards
@willzsportscards 5 ай бұрын
yes. there are three types of cartilage in your body--fibrocartilage(meniscus), hyaline cartilage (articular surfaces) and elastic cartilage (nose/ear). You're using basically the same material to repair the defective/traumatized/aged area in the nose.
@helunanova
@helunanova 5 ай бұрын
@@willzsportscards thanks for your reply! But you can also use rib cartilage for the nasal valves which is stronger... I can't come to a conclusion which cartilage would be better for nasal valve reconstruction and every Doc has a different opinion

Ive seen articles discussing multiple grafts for valve collapse. I use a Breathe Right every night but looking for a permanent solution. Which do you feel are the most effective for an internal Breathe Right, especially in graft longevity; "Butterfly Graft" "Alar batten Graft" or "Strut graft"?
