Yah, I just eat the eggs raw and switched to a Billy Pot and Wood Fire for cooking. My thoughts these years later is Titanium is overpriced and terrible to cook with. However, everyone needs a great Camp Knife! Check my knives out at knife-maker.com! Have a blessed day and thanks for the great comment!

How do you adjust the angle and how does it keep it?
@skjeggmennkniver-skjeggmen5600
@skjeggmennkniver-skjeggmen5600 Жыл бұрын
The angle is adjusted by loosing and sliding the rest bar out. I then lay the mounted knife against the belt and measure with a digital angle gauge. I can adjust the mounting bar in and out then lock it with two tightening handles before sharpening. It work wonderful! I did not see any other videos out there, so I made this quick one. I probably should make a more detailed video. Thanks for asking.

How does 209 join with 200? Looks like must cross the river? Is there a bridge?
@skjeggmennkniver-skjeggmen5600
@skjeggmennkniver-skjeggmen5600 2 жыл бұрын
No bridge… it crosses at Borden Creek and the water can be deep and fast this time of year. (April). As the spring and summer come, the rain is less and the creek is very crossable. You need to climb steep hills on both sides.

People with titanium pans who want to fry meat or cook rice need a flame which will adjust very low and a lid from a tin can, to act as a heat diffuser. One of the key tricks to frying in titanium is a very low heat.

What if you use a non stick frying pan liner? They are made of teflon I think, and you can easily cut it to fit the size of your pan. It ends the need for oil to cook, and it is easier to clean at the end, special when outdoors. Have you test it yet?

@@trioultimo sorry to hear that friend. Maybe as you get more experience backpacking and outdoor cooking you won’t have these problems. Keep trying 👍 I typically use a titanium spork when backpacking and don’t carry whole eggs. I am more of a freeze dried or simple ingredients person. I had seen other try to fry an egg on a ti pan and challenged myself. Was not beautiful, but I kept the yoke intact. If I am cooking like this, I am not far from the car and have. Cast iron cook pan and Dutch oven that I use. Stay cool and thanks for the input.
