Definitely a concussion on top of that broken collar bone. Can't overlook those, they fuck you over later in life.

Fun Fact: Petty Blue was developed by Richard Petty and Dale Inman when they were painting Richard's first race car.......they didn't have enough paint of just one color to paint the car so they mixed all of the colors so they had enough and the result was that beautiful blue that was named Petty Blue.

And that is why you simply DON'T race these old pieces of crap. They are interesting from the historical standpoint etc. But that's it. NO racing, unless you REALLY want to die. And to "race" them with 50% effort would be even more ridiculous because the danger would still be there but no joy from driving at the limit.
@Odo-el2mh Жыл бұрын
IMHO there is no reason to have a race with these old cars which aren't safe at all. That's why humanity developed newer and safer cars... to minimize risks and avoid such stupid accidents from the beginning of the motorsports era...

That’s Duncan Pittaway and no ordinary GN as it’s fitted with a Curtiss aero engine. Also known for resurrecting the Beast of Turin. A charming man. His mate claimed (cheekily) that he had the technology to identify colours in black and white photos. In reality of course he had no idea and picked orange and purple as he thought it would be ridiculous. Duncan went ahead and painted it in those colours anyway.

I often see spins like this, but I think it's bad driving to release the brakes when you lose control or when you start traveling backwards.

1st thing to notice - glad he's ok - 2nd thing to notice - that Bentley......

In that era fire was the drivers major concern. Being trapped in a burning was far more frightening for them. Thats why they did not even wear seat belts. Their hope was they would be thrown clear of the wreckage
@davidhughes4448 Жыл бұрын
@@glenchapman3899 Glen, that may have been their thinking, but it's idiocy. I'm 67, born in 1955. As a young car enthusiast, I remember watching auto racing such as this on TV back then. I thought at the time it was lunacy not to have a roll bar in these cars, and I was a pre-teen at the time.
@glenchapman3899 Жыл бұрын
@@davidhughes4448 Well clearly many of your generation saw the lunacy. Because by the mid 70s cars and tracks had become immeasurably safer. A process still evolving today...thankfully
