got the 8 after the 6, yet the 9 looks alot like the 8, I wish the 8 had the red led the 8 Pro Also has the white led on the back, you compare the regular 8 who only has a colored logo with the 9 pro who has leds instead. *8pro also has 24gb ram, they improved the cooler of the 8 slightly, calling it the aerocooler pro.

You're right, the ROG Phone 8 Pro definitely had some standout features like the white LED and the massive 24GB RAM option, which made it unique. With the 9 series, the design feels like an evolution rather than a revolution, though the LEDs on the 9 Pro are a nice touch. The AeroCooler Pro's slight improvements in cooling are interesting too, but it's clear that Asus is focusing on refining rather than reinventing this time around. Did you notice any big performance gains with your ROG Phone 8 compared to the 6?"

@@TipsandTech90 I did notice a impresive change in look from the 6 Ultimate, and they did do an upgrade with othersocket and extra cooling vent on the device. the 6 with the 2nd led display on the back and a very gamy, futuristic like a console appearance, yet the 8 and 9 look like a distuingished device, also great for not being a gaming device. I have had people notice the icon change when I was recording/making picture. Performance wise I have not noticed big leaps beyond higher refreshrates and more memory (as the 6 pro had 18gb ram, the 8 as the 9 has 24mb, these phones outperform my asus game laptop (zephyrus 14) of 2019. I usually buy a new phone every 2-3 years, change of looks, newly introduced feautures, the changes/updates from 8 to 9 to me are minimal to warrant, as nowadays Asus does deliver at least 2 OS updates (android 15 isnt as big, but coming next month) and get 5 year of security updates. So curious what the 10 will bring in 2025 or may need to wait till 2026. as these devices arent getting any cheaper.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You’ve made some great observations about the design evolution and performance improvements across the ROG Phone series. The shift from the “gamer aesthetic” of the 6 Ultimate with its 2nd LED display to the more refined look of the 8 and 9 definitely makes these devices feel more versatile and not just for gaming. It’s impressive that they’re outperforming a Zephyrus 14 laptop-phones really have come a long way! I agree that while higher refresh rates, more RAM, and incremental performance gains are nice, they may not always justify an upgrade, especially with Asus now offering longer software and security support. I’m also curious to see what the ROG Phone 10 will bring-hopefully some meaningful innovation beyond looks and minor spec bumps, especially since, as you pointed out, prices aren’t getting any lower. Holding out for a major upgrade might be worth it!

Hi! What do u think about gaming phones like rog 9, redmagic 10, etc. that used 8 elite? Their antutu score was 3 million. Im lack of knowledge about them because i just think that 8 elite is overkill with its 3 million antutu score while the 9400 only got 2,6 million. But when i see ur vid, gt7 pro with 8 elite also got 2,6 million score. Is there any phones that used 9400 where the phone is designed to push gaming performance? I just want to see the result of the compare, cuz i didnt expect the 9400 was also that great.

Hi! Gaming phones like the ROG Phone 9, RedMagic 10, and others using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite can indeed score incredibly high on benchmarks like AnTuTu, reaching around 3 million. However, real-world performance often depends on more than just raw scores-like cooling systems, software optimization, and sustained performance during long gaming sessions. The Dimensity 9400 is a powerful chip, and it can definitely compete with the Snapdragon 8 Elite in many scenarios. But as of now, most phones designed specifically to push gaming performance still focus on Snapdragon chips due to better GPU optimization and partnerships with game developers. That’s why you see phones like the RedMagic or ROG series running Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite. That said, if we do see a phone optimized for gaming with the Dimensity 9400, it would be very interesting to compare. While on paper it might score slightly lower (2.6 million vs 3 million), the real-world experience could be closer than expected, especially in thermally-efficient devices. I'll keep an eye out for any gaming-focused 9400 phone to test and compare. It’d be exciting to see how it performs!

Thanks for your interest! The Mac Mini 4 Pro is quite powerful, so vMix might work well, but vMix is primarily designed for Windows. You’d need to use something like Parallels Desktop to run it on macOS. I’d to test it out in the future-stay tuned!"

How do you charge your phone while doing this?
@TipsandTech90
@TipsandTech90 14 күн бұрын
"In desktop mode, you can charge the Pixel 9 Pro XL while using it by connecting it to a USB-C hub or dock that supports power delivery (PD). These hubs not only provide ports for HDMI, USB, and peripherals but also allow simultaneous charging. Just make sure your hub or dock has a power input and that your charger provides enough wattage to power both the phone and connected accessories!" Feel free to customize it based on your style or specific setup in the video! 😊

@@TipsandTech90 do you think pixel 9 pro is better than Samsung s24 plus ? In regards to dex compared to this and also in regards to gaming between the 2 phones. Preferably cloud gaming like GeForce now. Would that work better on Google 9 pro or s24 plus?
@TipsandTech90

@@Sandeepman12 "Great question! 😊 i think to make one video as soon possible Samsung Dex vs Pixel 9 Pro The Galaxy S24+ has Samsung Dex, which lets you use your phone like a PC on a monitor or TV. The Pixel 9 Pro doesn’t have anything like this, so Dex is a clear win for Samsung. Cloud Gaming (GeForce NOW) Both phones are great for cloud gaming and support fast Wi-Fi for smooth streaming. The Pixel 9 Pro might feel smoother due to Google’s software optimizations. The Galaxy S24+ has a slightly bigger screen and better cooling for longer gaming sessions. Which is better? If you need Dex or longer gaming sessions, go with the Galaxy S24+. If you prefer smoother updates and gaming performance, the Pixel 9 Pro is a solid choice. Hope that helps!"

@@TipsandTech90 the Google does have the desktop feature you are showing in this video. If you had to compare it what would you pick
@TipsandTech90
@TipsandTech90 14 күн бұрын
If I were to compare, I’d lean towards the Pixel 9 Pro as well, mainly for the reasons you mentioned: Google Optimization: The Pixel lineup benefits from stock Android with unmatched Google software optimization, ensuring smooth performance and minimal bloatware. Animations: Google's Pixel devices are known for their fluid animations, thanks to the Pixel's exclusive Material You design language and adaptive UI. Desktop Mode: While desktop mode on Pixel is still developing, it's promising and could challenge more established systems like Samsung DeX. However, what makes the Pixel 9 Pro stand out even further is its camera prowess, software updates, and AI-driven features like photo unblur and call screening. What about you? Do you see any drawbacks with the Pixel 9 Pro in comparison to alternatives?

Yes, when you need to input text in desktop mode, a keyboard should pop up on the phone screen, similar to Huawei’s desktop mode. It makes it easier to type without needing a separate physical keyboard. Thnks for your comment
