Varnams and Kruthis are different Before Making statements why don't you approach any experts. And For Carnatic music Tyagaraja, Muuththu swamy deekshitar, and Syaama saastri are called trinity of Carnatic Music. They have contributed a lot through their Compositions. Carnatic is not Biased , South Indians have great temple culture We believe in god so the compostions were composed on Gods and Goddesses of the temple. We believe Music is a path of devotion. And in " Padams" and "Jaavalis" there are compositions other than devotion. We have 72 Melakartha raagaas. Many great composers other than the trinity had composed so many varnams, Kruthis, padams, Jaavalis, Thillaanaas All were Raaga based, In order to bring all these Raagas into one structural form to study and learn by the next generations 72 Melakartha table was structured. And all the Raagas which has been contributed by the composers had been put under this classification system of Music. The compositions are in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Sanskrit. All together it is called Carnatic or South Indian Music. Since the raagas were evolved and were practiced through Guru Shishya parampara.. All need to be studied and learn from generations to generations. What it has been told about R1, R2, R3 and in other cases is not a normal thing untill unless some one understands the technicality of it. If some thing is created long before and it is still fillowed with respect till date being able to handle it nicely, and if some one doesn't understand and thinks it is complicated for them.. Then they should just stay out of it. Music is a language to express our feelings and emotions... There are only 7 colours and 7 notes We put them into 12 notes. More over we have 22 shruthis in that case except 'S' and 'p' every note gets 4 sruthis. So for example R1, R2, R3, R4. May be it gets more complicated now. But that's Music. Carnatic musicians can learn and handle 16 notes very easily and nicely. I think the Mughals couldn't get through this. That's why there is no influence of them in this art form. Let it be what it is And just respect the creativity...that had been passed on from generations to generations.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful conversation. “Ghosts of the future” is such an eerily appropriate way to express the realisation that what you may think, design, and build will eventually be inhabited and known by those you do not know today and who may not know you tomorrow when they arrive at the very spot where you now stand; and yet the labour you spent will not lose its meaning and the memories they create will be no less intimate. It is as though what you built physically with substance will be built again in the imagination of their memories.
