Too many sopranos

Definitely too much. "et in ipso iucundemur" moment - all brightness is in the alt's and basses but sopranos make a hmm.... nothing good :)

Yes definitely. Not so much how many sopranos, but the balance between the voices of the harmonies the choir creates. The sopranos need to sing a little quieter and allow the tenors and bases and altos to bring thier sound out more. Harder to hear the tone clusters while the other parts aren’t supported well when sopranos are the most loud.

Really tough space for this piece. It has an ethereal quality which is suitable but it also drags it down because they necessarily have to wait for the echo to subside. I actually prefer the lower key all male version: Zero8
