I think i like most people were "i don't know why this just hit me?" It just so simple line yet very powerful... like the messaging, it leads audience to move by the mundane

I've never been the type to cry at movies. I went my whole life being so confused why someone could be so emotionally impacted by just a movie, until I watched EEAAO. This scene made (and still makes) me sob like a baby. The first time I watched it, I had to pause it and take a break because I couldn't stop crying. I get it now.

This line hits so hard because Waymond puts the finger directly on the one true thing that we are all looking for in our lives. It doesnt matter all the materialistic bullcrap that we have in our life, whats most important is being with someone you love. Who cares if its in a small appartment or that the best restaurant you can afford is KFC. Every little mundane activity can turn into a great one when you are with your second half. My girlfriend told me that one of her favorite day with me has been when we cooked a Paella together outside on my propane heater, cooking together and adding things to the ban on my appartment's balcony... a mundane activity like doing taxes and laundry !

I've been lucky enough to be with the love of my life for 18 years and counting. This is really what it's about. You can go have adventures and do all the "big" and flashy, fun things, but at the end of the day, it's you and your partner, cleaning up the mess, going through the mundane between the adventures. You want someone you can do dishes, laundry, grocery shop with... find you someone who makes the small, every day things more enjoyable. I don't want riches and fame, I just want to live happily and comfortably with the person I love and the little family we have. That's the real secret.

It gives me quite a bit of cringe when I see many of these hypocritical reactions. This scene is truly pure and deep, and many of those who cry in real life will end up choosing their partner for superficial and material reasons.

If I could travel back to 2022 and see this for the first time in theatres, I honestly would. The cathartic moment of being in a room full of strangers, all sobbing at the same line just feels so much and living it vicariously through this video is proof.

I saw it in the theaters the first week it came out in Seattle. I saw it three more times to bring various friends and my sister. It was so powerful to hear and experience 150+ people laughing and ugly crying at the same time.

if u want ur viewers to cry, give them an emotional reason to do so if u want them to laugh give them a reason to if u want them to gasp and scream at the absurdity of a scene, make em watch someone get a buttplug in order to fight- the creators and everyone involved did an amazing job out of having such love and care for what they were making, it simple and its wanting to create something meaningful while also giving that meaning onto the scenes, the character, the moments and everything, its very hard to put all the miles of things i want to say about this movie but its simply so amazing

One of those movies where you start crying before you even finish laughing and then start laughing from disgust while still crying. The perfect balance between emotions, visuals, and narrative. Chaotic and overwhelming but at its heart (which is worn on its sleeve), simple and sincere.

It's amazing how many of the reactors seemed to physically brace themselves for a truly moving line and still ended up sobbing. The writing, Ke Huy Quan's delivery, the editing, the context...such a beautiful moment. Thank you for compiling these reactions.
