I miss Monty's form of drawing and animating. it was fresh and different from others. The cartoon remake of RWBY leaves much to be desired. No sense of Epic Battle.

Ive never watched RWBY and only heard of it because i love Red vs Blue and the soundtrack for RWBY is amazing but the running looks so stupid in this Great fight scenes though

It took them a while to get their footing in Maya, but I'd say volumes 6 through 9 are all mostly better than the 5 prior.

Still one of my favorite scenes in anything, Im an absolute SUCKER for action scenes choreographed to their music, and here, even the framing, transitions, and shot comp are just impeccable.

literally only watched the first volume when i was in grade 5 but THIS SCENE i come back to everytime because of the transition to the piano when blake is falling and it’s so elegant (im in animation university now and it inspires me sm i love monty)

you know what i love the most in this fight? is how tactfully sound Jaune is in a fight with his teammates, like not in a working with them using himself in their plans but seeing how they can work with each other, and seeing openings to use like with that deathstalkers tail being weakened from Ren enough to use as a weakpoint, along with the teamates seeing their jobs clearly when the weakpoint arose
