One of their most iconic songs , well done in showing the magic

Salut !! Amicalement, Didier. Hi!! Well done, but I noticed a mistake in the second phrase of the melody. You play 0 -5 and you should play 0 - 4 because the 4th fret of the G string is the third of the chord that passes in the accompaniment, that is, G7!! Kind regards, Didier.

Hello and thnx a lot for your comment and suggestion. I've listened carefully to what you mean. The melody line definitely uses the note played on the 5th fret on the G-string. That's the root of the C-chord to where the chord progression is going to from G to C. Your suggestion could be right if the chord where the melody is heading to was a G-chord but it is a C-chord. Anyhow, thnx a lot again for your constructive addition and reply. All the best. PtG :-))

@@PlaythatGuitar kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4PIqGODa95liKs 😁Thank you for your quick response. At 16 seconds Marvin plays the 4th fret G string. You can really hear it in slow motion. Pick up your guitar and you'll see !! Lol. He does what is called an anticipation of the G7 chord. I have perfect pitch, that's why I allowed myself to point out this little mistake. Thank you for trusting me. Kind regards, Didier.

@@PlaythatGuitar Thank you !! It's not a real mistake, because it sounds good with the 5th fret, but Hank just plays the 4th ; and i just want you to play it like Hank, lol !! Amicalement, Didier.

Hello and thnx a lot for your visit! My gear: -Guitar - American Fender Stratocaster & Gibson Les Paul imitation guitar -Amp: Fender Princeton 112 Plus -Effects: Boss GT3 effects processor For this solo I used on my effects processor: Turbo Overdrive, some compressor, chorus, reverb and delay. On my amp I colored the tone with the treble and bass. Hope this was a bit helpful. All the best.
