Varun is a gem of a person. I was his neighbour while in college and have seen his journey unfold very closely. He used to religiously devote his full self for a couple of months to his mini projects like learning guitar, drums, writing books and there are many more... And used to excel in each of them before moving to the next one. He was sort of a one man army. I fondly remember how he helped us win hostel fest at BITS in which Varun was the participant in almost all the events - dance, music, fashion, cricket, badminton, .... Almost everything. This was a year after we lost a great campaign at the fest which brought everyone together. One thing which sets Varun apart is he is a doer. He doesn't sit on a thought for long, he starts executing the next second onwards. The Bhagwat Geeta shlok of Karma is truly embodied in Varuns endeavours. Apart from this he is the life of a party. This guy has given me and my friends so many funny moments to remember from our college life. Cheers Varun! Onwards and upwards!

A great topic #Whips&Chains. I think the intangible issues of managing a start-up are really important. Passion and commitment is key. Passion is really the foundation of what drives the founder and therefore his team. It is something that can be infectious for other stakeholders as well. The only prerequisite is that the other elements of your business are fairly robust and on the right track!

I stumbled upon this podcast because I am a paid subscriber of Newslaundry, and Avinandan Sekhri was interviewed in one of the episodes. I am glad I found this podcast. It is very soft and subtle yet brings out the whips and chains that fetters everyone, in some way or other. Thank you 💐❤️
